    The Meadoway, 200ha

anyone notice that the Slow painted on the pavement is facing people travelling up the hill. I think that was a mistake as it makes way more sense to have the Slow marking for people travelling downhill.

    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

Just bringing forward the renderings. Also, I like everything, but I wish they added sound barriers to the bridge, so the noise from traffic wouldn't carry very far through the ravine. I used to live by the rouge river and the noise would travel from the 401 to lake Ontario. The same sound...

    Roads: Traffic Signals

Raised crosswalks and intersections are great but not for thru routes. They are used on local or service routes. Each is a tool in the tool box, which are is most effective when used properly. Raised crosswalks on thru routes will created unnecessary congestion thinking roads such as dundas or...

    Roads: Traffic Signals

Yes so rrfb signals above the crosswalk with led lights lighting up the area underneath. But as far as I know thats not in the ontario standard. Should be though.

Toronto GO Transit: Davenport Diamond Grade Separation | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Yes but it could be organized by the community in the future. Metrolinx wouldn't care if they don't have to pay for it.

Toronto GO Transit: Davenport Diamond Grade Separation | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

I like to think that the panels can have an art pieces installed on top if funding and wellness partners come forward.

    Roads: Traffic Signals

Ya toronto still has not switched to the rrfb signs that are installed all over ontario and North America. The lights are more "aggressive" which increases compliance and safety.

    Roads: Traffic Signals

So I just visited halifax and saw how little traffics lights there are. Pedestrian crossing are used very often and allow safe mid block crossing. Traffic moves effectively and is only stopped when required. I am convinced a sizable amount of congestion in Toronto is due to city council and...

Roads: Highway 401 Widening - Highway 8 to Highway 410 (MTO, U/C, Planned)

Hov lanes should be only for transit vehicles buses. They also need to be separated with flexy posts. All you do is place license plate readers at certain points and automate the enforcement for offenders

    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

If anyone can answer. I've always wondered why in B.C., quebec and the US on its interstates the pavement on bridges uses a concrete road surface but in ontario the MTO uses asphalt on bridges. Why the difference one must be better for safety so I would assume that the standard would be universal.

    Toronto Eglinton Line 5 Crosstown West Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Brah so they pretty told everyone to go f*** themselves. Can we have indoor bike parking, secondary entrances so kids don't have to cross high speed traffic. Metrolinx. Hears a bike canopy with bike exposed to theft because they will be on the side of the station in a low traffic area. The...

    QEW - Mississauga/Credit River Project

I believe the final layout is 4 in each direction with proper shoulders on the bridge.

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

honestly, thats a great idea. You would keep the T but the colour would identify the service type. Montreal did something similar, check the thread.

Bruce Power: New Nuclear Generation Capacity

So looks like Pickering nuclear station will be extended until 2026. I fully agree with the posted article below and see that with the expertise gained at Darlington, Pickering should be even easier to refurbish. I would also add that once the A side is full decommissioned they could plan on...

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

Hopefully the T is reflective or light up so it could be seen at night.

Bruce Power: New Nuclear Generation Capacity

honestly that organization has been dragging its feet for so long. The government should tell them to select a site or they clean house, because clearly they are milking the system at this point. https://implementationplan.nwmo.ca/2023_27/planning-timelines/ so created in 2002 and will...

Roads: Gardiner Expressway catch-all, incl. Hybrid Design (2015-onwards)

I think that whats going to happen is all the Rehabilitation contracts will be canceled. Olivia will wait and get a transportion toronto report that states the gardiner is unsafe to use and will close it down for public safety. Only hope is ford has the MTO take over.

    Richmond Hill Yonge Line 1 North Subway Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Electric subways create pollution? yes the 6 lane arterial roads are so much better for the environment. since when do cars and trucks create noise pollution, visual pollution, and air pollution, oh and kill people on bikes, walking, and other drivers. The issue is those damn electric subways...

    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

They MTO had funds designated for the project, but Ford moved them to the 413 project last election. So there is no funding at this time. The 413 would need to be killed permanently then MTO could move the funds back for HWY 6 and HWY 7.
