    Self-Driving Vehicles/Autonomous Vehicle Technology

How does intercity deliveries save money if they still have to employ a driver to babysit the steering wheel? Until it's fully autonomous it's pointless.

    Self-Driving Vehicles/Autonomous Vehicle Technology

How can they jack up my rates? My probablility of getting in an accident hasn't changed. In fact it's been reduced by automated cars. They'll brake faster in advance of issues vs a human. Giving me more warning time as well.

    Self-Driving Vehicles/Autonomous Vehicle Technology

And some of those horseless carriages are still on the road. No, they're not daily drivers, but there is still 60,70,80,90 and even a century old cars that are grandfathered and allowed to be on the road. I would imagine the same thing will happen with all ice cars when automated drivers become...

    Self-Driving Vehicles/Autonomous Vehicle Technology

The only way those seniors buy in is if they're still be allowed to drive would be if autonomous driving is allowed for drunk drivers. The theory being that both are similar, and as I said earlier, the only thing appealing about autonomous vehicles is the fact you can get loaded and let your car...

    Self-Driving Vehicles/Autonomous Vehicle Technology

Go right ahead. Ironically, it will mean I will sell my econobox Honda Fit daily driver, but I'll still keep my sports car, which pollutes more. Either way I'll save money by being down to one car. I still don't believe you'll be able to jack rates. The used car market is huge, yet somehow you...

    Self-Driving Vehicles/Autonomous Vehicle Technology

Couldn't. Care. Less. Last accident was 10+ years ago. Last accident that was my fault was Almost 30 years ago. How can they hike my rates if I haven't had an accident. They'd be persecuting all drivers who don't ( or can't) afford new cars with this technology. It will be a very slow...

    Self-Driving Vehicles/Autonomous Vehicle Technology

Yup. I have zero interest in self driving cars. Even cars that can parallel park now I couldn't care less about. My only interest in automated driving is if it can be used as a dd. Until then I'll avoid any cars with this automated crap. But I'm a forty plus dinosaur that actually enjoys driving.

    Cigarette butts and balconies/terraces

Try moving a picture hung on the wall of a smokers house. My sister bought a cottage from previous smokers ( they loved the place but none of her family smokes so their only worry was getting rid of the stench.). They actually managed to get rid of it (scrubbed the entire place walls, floors...

    Cigarette butts and balconies/terraces

It's sort of weird. I've had the same experience, you make additional connections via smoking. All of a sudden you can be chatting with someone several levels above you because you both share a horrible habit. Also made random good friends from it as well. That's about the only good thing that...

    Cigarette butts and balconies/terraces

Me and my girlfriend at the time smoked in my house when I first bought it (she convinced me to, but it wasn't hard). Girlfriend left eventually, I eventually tried quitting smoking later (and of course caved), but the biggest issue when I quit was, I finally noticed my house reeked of smoke. It...

    Marijuana in Grocery Stores?

Apparently there's some treaties we need to get out of first........ http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/trudeau-legalizing-pot-global-treaties-1.3390745

    Marijuana in Grocery Stores?

You missed the most obvious option (and the only reason I want to keep it around for now) the LCBO. Wynne mentioned it already as well, but it has the pre-existing framework to implement it mush easier. I'd be against Grocery stores, but wouldn't mind maybe pharmacies - behind the counter like...

    Cigarette butts and balconies/terraces

And a $20 deposit on Tim Horton's paper cups........

    Cigarette butts and balconies/terraces

OMG, I guess I shouldn't be surprised, considering what pigs people are at ground level, but I never considered this when I bought a condo. Glad I'm near the top, so there's less chance of this.

    Toronto Rogers Centre Renovations | ?m | ?s | Toronto Blue Jays | Populous

BUT, the corporate suites won't sell out if the product on the field is garbage (only the Leafs can defy gravity and pull that off in this town). So unless Shapiro puts a winning product on the field every year, this is just shuffling the deck chairs on the Titanic. Hoping for the best, but...

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

Don't disagree, I was just questioning MIIAIIRIIK's comment about building a spur off of Line 2 down to the beaches then further eastward. Those areas already have viable transit. Malvern and Sheppard should be built prior to the extension of Crosstown, or anything else I was theorizing about...

Toronto St Lawrence Market North | 25.3m | 5s | City of Toronto | Rogers Stirk Harbour

At some point value engineering will become relocating the temporary tent to the south and make it the 'new' north market.

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

Why? The Beaches have street cars for CBD already and further east along the shore, they have GO (Scarborough and Guildwood) to cover that off. What they need are LRT's linking to the GO stops with other TTC nodes (Kennedy mainly and also Crosstown to Guildwood.

    Toronto Ten York Street Condos | 224.02m | 65s | Tridel | Wallman Architects

Not denying they won't make the cash back, but there's no guarantees the next movie isn't a clunker - granted it will still make huge cash. But if they can make even more money by building something like this, they will. They will squeeze every penny they can out of the franchise. I could see...

Don't give the Mouse any ideas. I could see Disney building this as a shopping mall near one of their 'worlds, or 'lands. Gotta make that 4 Billion back.
