    2022 43rd Ontario general election (June 2, 2022)

It looks like Toronto allows signs on public land while municipalities near Toronto have bans or restrictions on public property. The municipalities around my vicinity do not allow public property to be used for election signs. Thanks for the information, as usual Northern Light.

Is it legal to put signs on public land ?

    2022 43rd Ontario general election (June 2, 2022)

In my riding east of Toronto, many Liberal signs have been smashed regularly. I haven't seen NDP signs, so I don't know if they would suffer the same fate. I know the PCs would say they don't support this kind of behavior, of course. When you see a long row of PC signs with a few intermixed...

    2022 43rd Ontario general election (June 2, 2022)

Ontario is sadly lacking in orators - maybe we could sneak in oration to the curriculum.

Never fear, a pet name will soon arise. This no-name is a bit of a tongue twister.

My first impression is - why is this in a cast ? My immediate second thought is - what the heck are they thinking ? Why shouldn't the city have a say in what is done around such an important precinct as the Town Square. This isn't some plaza built well out of the public eye.

All this development needs is a good bakery, and presto - bread and circuses. I don't know if you can pick a time to be " historical ", just remember that a lot of the land around the current city was all under water several thousand years ago. As for a ferris wheel, who needs it when you got...

Probably not, but is this what we expect from government - leadership with vision might be a good start.

Really, this Government has got to go ! Everything it touches is a bastardization of this province - crude, rude, and dumb. The new Ontario Place amusement park is not anything I can relate to.

A 21st century St. James Town emerges - on the waterfront no less.

Well, this one fits in with the cityscape here and doesn't detract at all from the vernacular, and it does show quality materials.

What's the future for the Conservative Party?

Time to clean house for their own good if they ever hope to be serious party again. Whatever support they think they can find with the fringe will evaporate soon enough once the dinner bell sounds. God, you'd think educated people in this party could figure this out.

That's a great shot and there's still plenty more development to come.

    Premier Doug Ford's Ontario

Maybe the public is so inured to the idiocy of the Fords that it simply isn't newsworthy enough. Pile crap higher and it still smells the same.

    Premier Doug Ford's Ontario

Sounds like you adhere to the cynical point of view, which appears to bring all manner of demagoguery to center stage.

    Premier Doug Ford's Ontario

Maybe so, but the likely outcome is if the Ford government wins a minority government, then that will be the beginning of a quick end for him . The opposition parties will have no inclination to support a Ford-led minority government.
