The Tenor (10 Dundas St E, Ent Prop Trust, 10s, Baldwin & Franklin)

I have no issue calling this terrible. And if we converted this to an age restricted website, I would use adjectives that were less kind. ;)

    Toronto 33 Maitland | 206.5m | 62s | Carlyle Communities | BDP Quadrangle

I am really loving most of the elements of this building, except for the very prominent amount of cheap looking grey aluminum panels between the heritage elements and the main tower. Why? The colour is fine but pick a better material. Even grey bricks would work better (precast or not).

    Hamilton Platinum Condos | ?m | 24s | Coletara Development | McCallum Sather

Please label this "Hamilton" so its not mistaken in the threads as something from Toronto.

    Toronto 15-17 Elm | 99m | 30s | Fora | PARTISANS

This is a beautiful design, if only because it's so unconventional for the city. (I am pointing out the obvious when I say that I am concerned about value engineering and the final product. This will not be cheap to build (just on the curved glass alone). I hope they can faithfully execute...

Toronto home: Power and Adelaide | 78.33m | 22s | Great Gulf | Core Architects

I have now seen it all: people complaining about unique retail overtaking a spot for another Shoppers Drug Mart.

    Toronto 625 Church | 184m | 56s | Manulife Real Estate | RAW Design

The tower is certainly a mess of a design. (it's way too busy).

Toronto St Lawrence Market North | 25.3m | 5s | City of Toronto | Rogers Stirk Harbour

Please tell me that the underside of the metal will be covered in some way (and it will not look like a garden shed roof, from ground level).

    Toronto Social at Church + Dundas | 164.89m | 52s | Pemberton | RAW Design

A few different choices in materials and finishes (and not necessarily more expensive choices) could have saved this. (...or at least made it a "should have been better" as opposed to a "what a total blight on the city").

    Toronto 123 Wynford Drive | 176.95m | 52s | Originate | Kirkor

Yes, it is tragic that the original Moriyama complex will be essentially destroyed (and we lost another modern masterpiece just a few hundred metres away when the Aga Khan Museum was built). As for the proposals and renderings (and the plan to use "glass fiber reinforced concrete in a...

    Toronto 7 Laxton | 18.72m | 6s | Hasan Farooq | High Park Architects

This is all kinds of cheap and ugly, isn't it. It's amazing someone with an architectural degree even designed it.

    Toronto 399 Yonge | 252.3m | 75s | Capital Developments | Teeple Architects

The design is a bit of a mess already. And with a tower covered in aluminum panels, it most likely will look cheap and worn before its time. I have little confidence that this will look decent in the end. And I say that with sadness.

    Toronto 150 Sterling (Block 3B) | 92.74m | 28s | Marlin Spring | Giannone Petricone

It is difficult to tell whether this will turn out to be "not bad" or "my gosh that is bad". Yes, materials and execution will have a lot to do with it. It just appears to be confused. Open glass on one end of the podium, surrounded by what looks like a painted concrete bunker aesthetic...

    Toronto 1 St Clair West | 165.63m | 49s | Slate | Gensler

There are good urban parks that do not consist of showcasing buildings of architectural interest or offer above average to spectacular views (or be one, like a terminal view) or provide connectivity between 2 or more sites . One of my favorite urban parks, probably checks off none of those...

    Toronto 200 University | 188.53m | 54s | GWL | KPMB

I am not a fan of this proposal. The building on top is certainly bland (which is not such a bad thing, in this context), but I wish it continued the rhythm of all the vertical elements of the original building (while keeping the addition light, so it distracts as little as possible from the...

    Toronto 357 King West | 148.13m | 42s | Great Gulf | BDP Quadrangle

The whole building is unintelligible. Cheap materials and bad design. It is just a mess.

    Toronto Forma | 308m | 84s | Great Gulf | Gehry Partners

Yes, regretful treatment of King St. And please please, make sure that reflective stainless steel is used and not grey matte aluminum (which seems so popular with talentless Toronto architects).

    Toronto 460 King West | 98.6m | 23s | Allied | Morris Adjmi

Is it a bit overbearing on the Spadina buildings? That was my first impression (granted the renderings are of a warped perspective). Love the building....wouldn't mind if the built form was a bit different (maybe stepping away from Spadina, instead of stepping forward).

    Toronto 128 Hazelton Avenue | 37.9m | 9s | Mizrahi Developments | AUDAX

Gotta give credit as to how the building actually meets the street (with the nice stone work at the base). So many condos have an unfinished looking concrete base.

    Toronto 65 King Street East | 82.9m | 18s | Carttera | WZMH

If the purpose of the upper glass clad office component was to disappear and blend into the sky, while leaving the historical street facades to shine, then the building succeeded. And if it was not the intended purpose, I just found the design's best justification. ;)
