The ceilings are already part of an ongoing project to replace and modernize aging infrastructure in the subway stations which has been ongoing for a while. They’ll be replaced when that work is complete. It takes an exceptionally long time for them to complete this work due to the fact that...

TTC Fleet Procurement Strategy - 2022

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they did get the order. The plant has been one missed procurement contract away from closing for at least 2 decades. The only thing that has been keeping that plant running has been GTHA transit projects from GO coach refurbishments to TTC streetcars and the...

It didn't get lost so much as stuck on a stray piling of a building that probably didn't show up in any planning documents

Not even connected to the line 5 project. There's water main work going on until at least November on Duplex between Berwick and Eglinton. What you are seeing is just a stub up installed in the road for flushing the new mains out.

GO Transit Fleet Equipment and other

to note the MP54AC is limited to 110mph so we won't be seeing 125mph under diesel power anytime soon

Probably not a sinkhole yet. If it was there would be more heaving and cracking in the asphalt in a more semicircular pattern around it. Asphalt, despite its hard feel and appearance is not really a solid. It's a viscoelastic material, which is part of the reason why they use it to make roads...

While you've all been debating the meaning of the word receipts (Miriam-Webster vs Urban dictionary definitions) bridge beams are being installed at the bridge expansion on Queen St East by Jimmy Simpson along with TTC streetcar track repairs nearby.

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

That could be fairly soon to be quite honest. Especially given the number of vehicles that are out on the line now

They've been clearing out most of the equipment in a lot of places along the line since mid summer. They just started training on the second class of operators for Line 5 on Monday, @smallspy posted about it in the Finch West thread. The two lines will share an operator pool so I'm not going to...

Black Creek Division is real though whether it is for both Line 5 and 6 I don't quite know.

Went through the surface section on the 34 between 11:45 am and 12:15 pm. Saw at least 7 "Training Car" sets on the surface section

There are still 4 occupancy permits outstanding. We only know that Eglinton station is one of them that leaves 3 that could be anywhere on the line. Those missing permits could very much be in that short section for all we know

The 303, 305, and 312 are the results of having more streetcars than storage space, especially with much of Russell being under construction.

oh look they misspelled DONLANDS AVE. On another note it will be quite a sight to see this bridge come together over the next couple years.

really the only similarity between the Flexity Freedoms and Outlooks is the combined brake/throttle, the location of some controls in the cab, and maybe one interface screen. And since from what I have hear both lines are being operated from the same division they also have to learn the Alstom...
