Moss Park / Queen & Sherbourne

Here is a fairly recent sales brochure for this building with photos and floor plans. From what I remember, the asking was $5-6 million. https://www.lewisandcompany.ca/8-britain

    St Lawrence Market

This is the property of MARKET SQUARE and is private space, I think, their hydro transformers are in these vaults. They fixed all the other parts of this 'on top of garage' area but no doubt coordinating repairs with Toronto Hydro is time consuming.

How do they expect to increase the below grade levels from 4 to 5? They have finished the excavation and are probably at garage Levels 2 and 3 already.

Yes, I fear that it is starting to look like Time & Space if it had growth spurt!

I 100% agree that this whole project has been mismanaged by the City from Day 1 and there is lots about that and for some of the legitimate reasons why it took so long (an obligatory archaeological assessment) higher up this thread. Of course this assessment should have been expected in very...

Certainly much better than aluminum panels (Time & Space, we are talking of you) but the colour is (in MY opinion) ghastly!

Actually it DOES as it is VERY complicated and usually not allowed to have multiple contractors on same site.

Generally agree with this and the design seems to provide what you/we want. There were LOTS of community meetings and the result (though not amazing) does seem to satisfy most 'demands'. A lot will rest on execution so let's hope Sanscon is not involved!

Yes, the light conditions DO change this building and, as immediately above, it can look 'acceptable, but it really is a great grey lump with some rather unpleasant pink parts like a rash. It is quite a prominent 'terminus view' looking east along Front Street and it is really not NEARLY as...

Former President Donald Trump's United States of America

Not how I read it. He seems to me to be saying that Trump has nominated some people to please his MAGA base but knows (and is happy or does not care) that some will not be confirmed. Then he can say "I tried, and the deep state stopped me."

Former President Donald Trump's United States of America

This from the Economist's Weekend Newsletter sound on point to me. "Here’s one prediction for the week ahead. As close scrutiny continues of Donald Trump’s nominees for government, I expect it will become clearer that one or more of them is set to fail. Yes, the incoming president has a...

Always remember about how magicians work - try to distract one's attention from what is really happening. Bike Lanes are the latest distraction from the Metrolinx screw-ups, the healthcare and homeless crises, the greenbelt scandal etc etc. Unfortunately, people always fall for magicians (and...

The impending transfer of the PARKING GARAGE was announced at the October meeting of the Toronto Parking Authority. Of course, transfer to the TPA does not mean open to the public but ... (I will ask.) In Q4 2024, Toronto Parking Authority will welcome the transfer of two (2) new parking...

When you do, remember that the Google developer (Carterra) still has to do their streetscape work on Colbourne from Church to Leader Lane and on Leader Lane from Colbourne to King. The plans I saw a couple of years ago looked pretty good (Market Street Lite), it was postponed as they did not...

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

That is certainly one tactic but I am afraid that almost any Court will say the City has no case because of the Supreme Court's ruling on the size of Council. The Court provided clarity on the status of municipalities under the Constitution. The majority confirmed that subject to the Charter, a...
