This one is back with a city-organized community meeting on June 22nd.

Sorry to bump, but I am very curious how this site receives a ZBLA, and then adds some GFA on to the total via site plan docs to increase the density. The tower gets taller, and the density increases. Would this not need another ZBLA? Or is the answer possibly a minor variance? I see...

That’s why the kept the name after the transfer.

That's such an unfortunate result with backtracking due to a few owners on the Spadina Quay bridge. Hopefully there were some people speaking for the rest of the city residents that would have appreciated these bridges. Glad to hear they will likely be done in the future. The outcome should...

I agree with this sentiment, if not loving the example provided. ;-)

Is that fun? To me it's a chaotic mess, with no enduring or likeable characteristics, and my eyes get tired just looking at it. That said, I agree we need more fun, I just don't know if this is it.

That's insane. Hopefully someone, or ideally many people have reported it to the local councillor's office? That's often the only way to enact change in this city.

Same. I was in a 22 storey 300+ unit building for 10 years, and with four elevators it had mostly reasonable waiting times. When one or two were down for move-ins or maintenance, it wasn't ideal though.

Honestly that picture just made me think we should close Yonge from Bloor instead of College. (Unless that is already the plan.)

Aesthetically, this looks....fine. Would be nice to get some architecture of interest though, instead of "fine".

I think it's fair to say that most people don't love Brutalism. Anecdotally, I have had debates with many of my friends, none of which sided with me in suggesting that there is good Brutalism and bad. I like Boston's City Hall, I like Robart's, I really like 222 Jarvis. My favourite, at least...

This historical photo really solidifies my opinion that the big concrete wall facing Front should be windowed at minimum if removal is out of the question. I am thinking in a similar approach to the Four Seasons Centre's face on University. Front isn't the widest street, unlike University, and...

    Toronto St Lawrence Centre Redevelopment | ?m | ?s | CreateTO | Hariri Pontarini

I would be happy with any of the middle three proposals based purely on being wooe’d by the renderings. The Brook one feels dated to me, and I am sort of done with concrete looking bunker walls. Zeidler’s is just plain boring. This is an artistic venue; so long as the acoustics inside are...

Thanks for the reassurance, AoD. :) Totally literal, but I kind of like that with the “law books”, given the context. The message being blatant was important, in my view. It’s less about art, and all about statement and reinforcement of values. It was the only art in the square that appealed...

That’s probably more my bad photography skills. It actually looks quite appropriate in person, at least to me. But then maybe I also have weird art taste. 🙃

Do they not need to pour the concrete for those two crane locations first?
