    Unions!

So are you saying that they show up drunk and still work? If so you should revisit your corporate ethics especially if your in an industry that uses dangerous or hazardous materials.

    Unions!

agreed, I've been to Finland and Estonia a couple of times and everyone I encountered there had a car or new someone close to them who had a car. The price of gas of course is higher there than here but that seems to be the standard across most of Europe. As for standards of living that I have...

    Michael Jackson R.I.P.

Rip I predict that in the next couple of weeks we will most likely see an inner circle book or hear about a book in process. What I hope not to see are any Elvis type conventions with the MJ motif with those captain crunch and captain Kangaroo outfits he always wore. I did like some of his...

    City Workers Strike 2009

^ Good points DT, you should be a mod or at least run for Mayor (please, Pretty Please). I would just like to add that I think the unions have done a very poor job getting their message out, not that I agree with what their doing because I don't. Miller spends half his time in Media training...

Toronto Ryerson's Mattamy Athletics Centre + Loblaws at the Gardens | ?m | ?s | Ryerson University | Turner Fleischer

I thought it was also a Heritage building which now comes with it's own set of rules. http://www.friendsofmapleleafgardens.ca/history.cfm . Even with this production going on I'm sure some one will be there citing the does and don'ts of this building.

Toronto Ryerson's Mattamy Athletics Centre + Loblaws at the Gardens | ?m | ?s | Ryerson University | Turner Fleischer

It is a shame because those people who do oppose the Feather Factory lofts and the other development on Ritchie their main complaint is parking availability and if the parking lot is developed then more parking is available once the street is extended ( if that is the long term plan on the...

Toronto Ryerson's Mattamy Athletics Centre + Loblaws at the Gardens | ?m | ?s | Ryerson University | Turner Fleischer

september This September there will be a reality show production made at the Gardens. The theme from what I understand are figure skaters being trained as hockey players and vise versa. (How boring is this), Thats all the info I have at the moment. Also just learned that the loblaws site at...

    MZTV Television Museum and Archive

cool. What was the oldest set he had was it the Granada? I really can't remember, Moses is an interesting character I've heard good and bad. Anyways it's good to see someone collecting these things for our kids to see what we had to look at long ago ( before the internet)

    Unions!

Well the public sector or private sector can use us or not use us thats their choice. I'm not going to apologize for joining a union all I can say is that I worked in the private sector doing the job I do now and it was mostly a miserable experience. I did not mean to brag of what I do have but...

    Unions!

How would I provide proof without losing my card? Take it or leave it, just relating my experiences. I'm sure in the private sector confidentiality is just as strict.

Ya its worth the money. I saw his sets at Idea City 4 or 5 years ago at the St. Lawrence Centre. There was about 15 sets and one was about 50 years old and still working considering the phosphorous was still good.

    Unions!

Sounds funny but our major competition are other Unions. Unions right now seem to be on a blitz to take over other unions BIZZAR .

    Unions!

And maybe a big fat law suit. I'm pretty sure you can't collect anything but you would have the right to appeal as if that would get you anything. Anyways I'm glad I work for a Union for the following reasons which I would not receive in the private sector. I can afford a house, I can afford...

    Toronto 1540 Bloor West | 91.9m | 27s | Trinity Group | Arcadis

Yep and further than that. There building the Address at High Park so more people can move in and oppose the Giraffe. If all the units had sold by now I'm sure they would of gone to the OMB by now even with or without the TTC report or at least set a date for a tribunal. Question is it the...

    The Junction

My jury is still out on this guy, sure he's a nice guy in person but I think he's trying to be the nice guy to hard at City Hall when he is supposed to be representing our ward. On the plus side he got the Avenue study for the area and the Roncey Reno approval. On the minus side he is a...

Six killed, 70 injured in D.C. subway crash

That was the Russell Hill Incident. The TTC uses the APTA system for safety procedures. The first two recommendations a Coroners Inquest came up with following the Russell Hill incident was to use the Railroad Safety Act of Canada. Why we are using an American system is beyond me. With 600,000...

Roads: Keep the Gardiner, fix it, or get rid of it? (2005-2014)

I agree and add some bike lanes with a barrier of course because if the Gardiner comes down then there are more crazy drivers on the local roads.
