    Toronto Couture The Condominium | ?m | 42s | Philmor | Graziani + Corazza

Weird. Lots of people in the X Condos will soon have their 'views' totally blocked, I mean, the only views they're going to have are the interiors of their neighbours' bedrooms.

I love "The Mix", cheap everything in there.

I hate the balconies in that building, and the low 8' ceilings. The balconies ... because of the way they positioned the glass panels, it gives those balconies an enclosed look and feel, as opposed to being open.

    Toronto Regent Park Central Park & Aquatic Centre | ?m | ?s | TCHC | MJMA

Really ? You mean where the Tim's is, or FreshCo ? Wow. lots of people out in front all the time, so somebody could've easily been rained on with thumb-sized glass chunks.

    Toronto Regent Park Central Park & Aquatic Centre | ?m | ?s | TCHC | MJMA

The Dundas / Parliament intersection has changed so much and in a very positive way. It feels more Cabbagetown than Regent Park nowadays. Also, that new FreshCo and Tim's makes that 1 Cole an impressive building. It's a very unpretentious intersection that's for sure.

Lanterra condo = Ford Pinto ?

    Toronto Bridgepoint Hospital | 61.87m | 10s | Bridgepoint Health | Diamond Schmitt

Wow, I've been watching this building go up over the last while from my current view facing east and I was wondering what the heck it is. I had NO idea it was the actual Bridgepoint Hospital development. I thought it was something to do with Regent Park development because I can see it and then...

    22 Wellesley St E (H+R Developments/Lanterra) - Real Estate -

I'm not 100% certain, but 22 Wellesley has 8' ceilings. Not sure if maybe penthouse level has higher, or some other floor, but a lot of agents list properties with wrong details all the time. E.g., some agent listed a unit elsewhere saying 700 square feet 1bdrm, when in actuality, it was 644...

    22 Wellesley St E (H+R Developments/Lanterra) - Real Estate -

The units have, I think, 8 foot ceilings, which is average, better than the 7 foot 9-3/4" ceilings at 24 Wellesley W, but not the new standard 9' ceilings on newer builds. Also, southern exposure units will have their views of the CN tower and much of downtown obstructed with the new towers...

    Toronto Murano | ?m | 45s | Lanterra | a—A

So ... will there be a rush to list units for sale ? You know, too many listings will depress prices in these buildings. They're already kind of overpriced to begin with. Nothing like a little real estate drama to perk up the MLS.

    King Charlotte - Brad Lamb

The terrace thing is what would make this an interesting unit, but that living / dining / kitchen space ... it's very long and narrow, with the kitchen area smack in the middle of the whole narrow space, very hard to visualize furniture placement. Also, there's those 2 columns, which further...

    Toronto One Bloor East | 257.24m | 76s | Great Gulf | Hariri Pontarini

Me, too. Not 'that other guy'. But anyway ... last time the markets tanked in concert all over the world, 1 Bloor East ceased to exist, so just making an observation that history has a tendency to repeat itself.

    Toronto One Bloor East | 257.24m | 76s | Great Gulf | Hariri Pontarini

Still no construction, excavation, nothing. Unreal. This isn't going to happen. The next couple of months is going to spook everybody, i.e., stock markets around the world will be tanking, including those in China, and the Chinese will be wanting their rapidly depreciating currency back.

    Baby, we got a bubble!?

There is a big difference between Toronto's and Vancouver's condo buildings. In Toronto, most if not all condo buildings don't have any caps on the number of units that can be rented out. So, anybody can buy condos and then rent them out (i.e., investor-driven). In Vancouver, most condo...

    Baby, we got a bubble!?

This could be a possible cause of a burst Canadian real estate bubble ... Chinese buyers suddenly having to liquidate assets ... thousands of condos flooding the market all at the same time.

    Baby, we got a bubble!?

New York City ... people awash with cash would rather be renting than owning apartments. Would this scenario play out in Toronto ... or Vancouver ? Something tells me something unpleasant is just over the horizon. http://abcnews.go.com/Business/wireStory?id=13722640

    Toronto 159SW Condos | 118.87m | 36s | Alterra | Richmond Architects

I don't know ... with interest rates set to move up pretty soon, I'm not sure how many people are going to want to pay $700+/square foot to live in St. Jamestown, or what will probably be marketed as West Cabbagetown.

Five Condos (Graywood Developments, Mod Developments) - Real Estate -

Many thanks for your reply, even your generous calculations are alarming. The developers and their hangers-on managed to sell these units to overseas investors using exterior wall calculations + balconies + mailboxes + who knows what else ... at inflated square footage ... because we all know...

Five Condos (Graywood Developments, Mod Developments) - Real Estate -

Here's the prime tower south-west corner suite advertised as 674 square feet. But there's a problem ... it only adds up to approximately 550 square feet tops, including the thickness of ALL the exterior walls, and if you throw in the balcony, too. How convenient that they didn't include room...

Five Condos (Graywood Developments, Mod Developments) - Real Estate -

I've already done the math on all the walls on that one floor plan I highlighted ... I was even gracious enough to include ALL the exterior walls, not half the thickness, but ALL of the walls, including interior walls, and I can only assume that a locker's volume is being thrown in, as well as...
