This is fantastic. Love the structural expression, and how it meets the street. The interior shots make it seem so transparent and fluid. My only criticism is the top - why can't the diagrid finish off and reflect the base, like a crown?
Those photos pretty much depict how aesthetically bad this building is. It looks as though a decision couldn't be made as to which design was the most uninspired, so they smashed the five most middling ideas together and got Aura. And then they added some LED lights.
Photos are misleading, and oppressive is a really strong word. When you're actually walking on King Street you don't notice anything above the first few storeys. Even looking up, it feels like a maximum 8.
