    Toronto Rail Deck Development | 239.43m | 72s | Fengate | Sweeny &Co

I'm afraid that $400 million is not nearly enough to pay for the park. Canadian Taxpayers Federation estimated $3.7 billion which is substantially higher than city's estimate of $1.7 billion, which is also way higher than what is in Section 42 funds. Probably the truth is somewhere in between...

    Toronto Rail Deck Development | 239.43m | 72s | Fengate | Sweeny &Co

Maybe it's just me, but I prefer my tax dollars to be spent on improving transit/hospitals/schools and not to build an extremely expensive park. This way we get the best of both worlds. Yes, the park will be smaller but at least it's way better than what is currently there and way cheaper than...

how long until toronto surpasses chicago on skyscrapers?

What is the most reliable source to see how many 150m+ and 100m+ skyscrapers there are in Toronto and GTA? Is the best approach to just count the skyscraperpage diagram for Toronto (plus Vaughn and Mississauga for GTA)? Maybe we could have a thread where we could keep the number of built and...

Would be super hard to keep fit, if that were the case 🤣

Toronto Toronto Island Park Master Plan | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto

What I see as a potential problem with additional ferry docks is that they are harder to integrate with rapid transit. Usually, there is a long walk from rapid transit station to a ferry dock and this is not just in Toronto. On the other hand, a gondola can be right next to a rapid transit...

    Infographics - Future Toronto Skyline

I really enjoyed the ttc vs future growth infographic. Could you make these for other subway stations? Or is it too much work? Mimico/ Humber Bay Shores/ Swansea was amazing! Looking forward to more of those :)

Toronto Toronto Island Park Master Plan | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto

It would probably have to connect the most northeastern part of the island to mainland, because of the airport.

Toronto Toronto Island Park Master Plan | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto

I am thinking more like this one: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roosevelt_Island_Tramway When you have only two stops, out of which one is connected to rapid transit and you know that there will be no extentions to the line, gondolas make perfect sense. Also, they are not expensive to build...

Toronto Toronto Island Park Master Plan | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto

I think that a gondola would be the best solution and would provide amazing views of the city. No additional traffic in the harbor and it can run from future Waterfront LRT, or Ontario line to the eastern side of the island. New York has a similar concept and so do many other cities...

Toronto Etobicoke Centre (Housing NOW, ?s, ?)

I believe that this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to build a true urban city center for Etobicoke. Especially the Kipling site has to have a bolder vision. To be a destination and not just a bedroom community. More density is needed, better (urban) experience at ground level (better...

    Infographics - Future Toronto Skyline

Have you considered sharing your amazing Mimico/HBS/Swansea work here: https://urbantoronto.ca/forum/threads/toronto-2150-lake-shore-215-75m-70s-first-capital-allies-and-morrison.19258/ Looks like this thread has all the people interested in this area and I'm sure a lot of people would be...

    Infographics - Future Toronto Skyline

Is this too small and too North to be included in this one? https://urbantoronto.ca/database/projects/backyard-neighbourhood-condos Thank you again. I think that this is by far the best model of South Etobicoke + Swansea out there!

    Infographics - Future Toronto Skyline

This is amazing! Thank you! There are two more buildings that might be added to proposed ones (but maybe not at this point). https://urbantoronto.ca/forum/threads/2169-2173-lake-shore-blvd-w-conservatory-group-seeking-2-6-41s-richmond.18810/page-3...

    TTC: Jane (LRT) RapidTO

There might be a case to extend this to Humber Bay Shores. It would provide access for more people to subway and GO, when Park Lawn GO station is built.

    TTC: Jane (LRT) RapidTO

Well I guess that OL can follow the GO corridor above grade to save money and after High Park go north to connect to Jane street. This would fix a lot of current problems with transit in the West End. With the new Park Lawn GO and work on existing Mimico GO, it maybe doesn't make sense to...

    Toronto 34 Southport | 99m | 29s | State Building Group | Richmond Architects

Thanks for sharing. "From the charming community atmosphere of Swansea comes a new landmark condominium" Calling it a "landmark" is a bit of a stretch. However, I'm looking forward for this to get built and to give back some retail that was lost when the old plaza was demolished.

    TTC: Jane (LRT) RapidTO

That makes sense and should probably be enough. It would give the people options, that are currently using the most overcrowded bus corridor in Toronto. Was this ever considered? I completely agree with you on this one!

    TTC: Jane (LRT) RapidTO

If Jane street rapid transit is ever again on the table, why wouldn't it go more South, so it can be connected to future Waterfront West LRT (or Ontario line extension, or whatever is happening on our waterfront transit wise(!?)) ? Shouldn't the priority be to give rides options to avoid...
