The terraced building I'm guessing is by Ten Arquitectos. Looks similar to this http://archpaper.com/uploads/image/ten_arquitectos_dc_04.jpg

    Toronto 629 King Residences (was Thompson Residences) | 53.34m | 15s | Freed | Saucier + Perrotte

He does still have the Bathurst and Front site with Minto that is going through the process now. While I think Minto may be heading up the development of that site, Freed's involvement may put a sour on their ability to negotiate what is already heating up to be a contentious battle. To me...

    Toronto The Britt Condos | 142.03m | 41s | Lanterra | Arcadis

Floor Area Ratio. Take the total density, divide it by the size of the lot, and you'll get your FAR.

    Toronto The Britt Condos | 142.03m | 41s | Lanterra | Arcadis

It's selling at the four seasons. Let me reiterate, there is essentially a zero chance the sutton place will be torn down. For the potential density, I don't know how it could be financially feasible given the likely purchase cost, and the rental replacement cost.

    Toronto The Britt Condos | 142.03m | 41s | Lanterra | Arcadis

For the record I am not suggesting it should be imploded. I was stating it never will be.

    Toronto The Britt Condos | 142.03m | 41s | Lanterra | Arcadis

It's a slab building, but not a horrible one. The base is nice and could make for great retail. An implosion is impossible from a feasibility standpoint (but I'm sure you already knew that). There's always wishful thinking though.

    Toronto The Britt Condos | 142.03m | 41s | Lanterra | Arcadis

You're correct. Top half (approximately, but not exactly) are rentals, and the bottom is hotel. Likely scenario is the hotel portion gets converted to condos and the rentals get renovated to be slightly more upscale. Or they flip the uses. Condos replace the rentals up top, and rentals...

    Toronto Picasso Condos | 128.62m | 39s | Mattamy Homes | Teeple Architects

For a few reasons, but the most significant being the previous design was unbelievably costly and complicated to build. Each floor plate was completely unique and random, and each suite design the same. I think Teeple did a great job at maintaining the essence of the original design, while...

    Toronto Casa II Condos | 184.09m | 56s | Cresford | a—A

While I'm sure on a case by case basis that sometimes occurs, in my experience that is generally not the case. Usually the client provides the architect with a survey, and says design it. If somebody wanted an exact copy of CASA, they would probably not hire aA to do it, when a cheaper...

    Toronto The Florian | ?m | 25s | Mirabella Dev Corp | Hariri Pontarini

290 Mulberry in NYC has some of the coolest prefabricated brick panels I've seen on a condo. You can certainly do a lot with it and get very creative with its application. If done right, it's certainly a trend I wouldn't min seeing more of in TO...

Not sure if this will work on my phone but here's a photo of some of the brick installed on the rear of the building.

    Home Renovation Thread

I apologize for this. Used the search function and didn't find what I was looking for. I remember reading a thread by someone who was documenting their home renovation. They also had a blog page documenting the project. They had painted the exterior brick black, and basically did a really...
