I think the proper word here, would be "stubby", LOL

Hell! It seems that they have only one form for the super columns (moving it around after each pour cures) and it only partially covers them when filled. At this rate the building should be finished by, hmmm, 2033?

These comments regarding the reclad of the Simpson's tower as well as comments of a similar nature of various other buildings are both tiresome and annoying. They remind me of what childhood bullies act like. Pile on, the nerd can't defend himself! In defense of the reclad, as a backdrop, it...

As opposed to whom? Our great friend and benefactor, the US? George Bush and the WMDs, Vietnam, the Middle East and probably a dozen other countries they've meddled in and continue to do so even today. Our good friends, who bully us when convenient with their tariffs and talk of tariffs by the...

I'd always thought that Exhibit's skewed volumes were something original architectually-wise. However I had the fortune of visiting Moscow in Russia last year and saw these towers in the Moscow International Business Center. They're called the Capital City Towers and the one on the right is a...

You know what IC42, I love it when people on this site get a bit feisty; especially with the resident elitist with whom I've also had a run in. Propriety is all fine and dandy, but if all this website is to offer is dry facts it's missing out on it's potential, which is entertainment value...

All we need now are a couple of volcanoes, a Bellagio-like fountain and we'll have hordes of tourists coming to visit Las Vegas North. Merry Christmas, everyone!

Perhaps it was done purposely ie. to evoke the natural ruggedness of a rock face in a mountain. It certainly looks interesting from an artistic standpoint. A competent builder wouldn't have that much problem creating a smooth facade.

The question is not " Could there be any more mullions?", rather, Could there be any more whining and bitching and bellyaching then has gone on already about this building in this thread?

Looking at some of IC42's balcony shots above, I fear that some of those susceptible to seizures might want to avoid this area of South Core entirely.

In all seriousness it wasn't. To me it's top seems to be a fusion of art deco and modern, even reminiscent of New York's Chrysler Building. They definitely didn't cheap out on that quarter onion dome. As for you AoD, Mr Smarty Pants, what exactly do you qualify as something better...

I mourn the loss of the Big Slice. I remember the original Italian owner who you would see through the window tossing the pies in the air and never dropping them. I remember once one of his young helpers p***ed him off and he threw a pie at him. The pizza then was the best I had ever had. In the...

42, A great photo of the top of the Trump and its "onion dome". I'll put on my hard hat and rain coat now as I assert that this top is the best piece of architecture in Toronto from at least the last half century!

Batman, where are you when we need you? Racoon City is being overtaken by Jokers like the 3 above. You've got to find the lab where they're being cloned and destroy it!

In post #1386 of the 88 Scott street thread there is a photo of "The Berczy" in which we can see the dark balcony glass. Imho this type of glass would have looked far superior to the "Fruit of the Loom" white underwear they're putting on here. The shadow Canadian Chocho mentions looks to me more...
