TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

Grass ROW is a nightmare to maintain in the fall and winter. I do like Siemens products, but Bombardier's flexity platform is pretty solid. I love Brussel's Flexities.

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

It's normal for agencies to fleets with different models in them. Our bus fleet is a mix of Nova's, Orion, and NFI's. It's not a big deal.

    Mississauga Mississauga Transitway | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | IBI Group

Mississauga is a car-happy suburb. It's easily accessible by car.

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

SF Muni's LRV fleet is all double-ended. The The E and F-line runs single-ended and double-ended PCC's and other heritage vehicles. The initially meant to be a tourist line while the cable car system was under repair, but was so popular with the locals, it became a legitimate transit line in...

    TTC Cartography, Signage, and Wayfinding

I don't get it. So the night bus only stops at a 5 stops? Someone looking at that map would assume the local and express routes only stop at major roads. What an awful map.

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Metrolinx already said Brampton's on the hook for any alternative plan, so if Brampton wants more Zum service, they can pay for it. A once in a lifetime opportunity to finally build much needed rapid transit on Hurontario and Brampton will throw it away. Downtown Brampton deserves to stay a...

Who's done better on transit? Vancouver or Toronto

And the ridership is nowhere near Toronto's.

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

If Brampton is short-sighted to turn down free money, that money shouldn't be diverted to Zum. Truncate the LRT to Shopper's World and use the funds for a another LRT project.

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

Yeah. You're still not going to receive a tax break if you don't use transit on the weekends. And I'm fine with that.

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

It's a good chance those riders do not buy a metropass in the first place. They buy tokens, so the only benefit from a Presto is not having to carry around tokens. It's likely TTC's Presto will be set up to hold a balance and to hold unlimited travel metropasses, there won't be a rewards...

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

Technically, the cars for Waterloo shouldn't suffer the same delays as the Toronto order? The LRV's will technically be "off shelf"and designed for less demanding operating environments than Toronto's system.

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

These NIMBY's are talking about operating costs, yet they want a tunnel through the core. Yeesh!

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

Reaffirming support for the Scarborough Subway?

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

The cards are pre-loaded with $10, but staff will take off the $10 and sell you the card for $6 if you ask.

    Toronto Union Pearson Express | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | MMM Group Limited

Each ticket is actually a day pass. If anyone wants a couple of tickets, PM me and I'll send them your way via email. You can use then on your phone or print them out. I, have 2.

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

My hometown is such a joke. There's little heritage character in Brampton worth saving, and cities with heritage worth preserving have built LRT with no issues. Brampton would be foolish to pass this opportunity, just to appease a few people who think Downtown Brampton is actually a destination...

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

I wouldn't, unless it's from someone you know.

    Mississauga Mississauga Transitway | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | IBI Group

Still an unnecessary expense to build a guideway.

    SmartTrack (Proposed)

Electric Trains will be "greener" in the corridor and through their neighbourhood. That's the point of their argument. They don't want the pollution associated with diesel trains in the corridor.
