    Toronto Harlowe Condos | 49.98m | 14s | Lamb Dev Corp | Core Architects

I was not expecting that deep of an excavation pit for a 13 storey building.
  2. NorthshoreCity

    Toronto 2 Carlton | 251.1m | 73s | Northam | Arcadis

Looks like a hybrid between the 8 Elm proposal and Aqua in Chicago, not exactly refreshing but I still find these towers to be quite an attractive twist on the glass box. That being said two towers still seems like overdevelopment, I'd have to agree with height advocates on this one, 100+...
  3. NorthshoreCity

    Toronto 2 Carlton | 251.1m | 73s | Northam | Arcadis

Thanks, I'm looking forward to seeing the planning documents. Judging by the site compared to 475 Yonge; these towers will end up being pretty slim.
  4. NorthshoreCity

    Toronto 475 Yonge Street | 255.76m | 78s | KingSett Capital | BDP Quadrangle

Is there a thread for 2 Carlton? The city updated the development application, it will be a 72 storey tower with two 65 storey towers behind, 1100 units total. Per: http://app.toronto.ca/DevelopmentApplications/associatedApplicationsList.do?action=init&folderRsn=4040048&isCofASearch=false
  5. NorthshoreCity

    Mississauga M1 & M2 at M City | 197.81m | 60s | Rogers Real Estate | Core Architects

From the article: "Architects delivered a winning design that will “redefine Mississauga’s skyline with a striking, undulating tower that rotates seven typical floor plates in repetition as it rises 51 storeys,” said a press release outlining the development." Looks like Absolute will continue...
  6. NorthshoreCity

    Toronto 160 Front West | 239.87m | 46s | Cadillac Fairview | AS + GG

Despite the modified shape of this tower being dependent on the large floor plates I'm very confident the end product will be far more impressive. It only takes a glance at AS+GG's portfolio to see that they easily rank within the same league as the world's top starchitects. It couldn't be that...
  7. NorthshoreCity

    Toronto 8 Elm | 218.2m | 69s | Reserve Properties | Arcadis

There are buildings far taller than this going up in New York with near identical footprints. If the design could more closely resemble something like 111 West 57th then there is an opportunity to create something that's actually impressive without as many issues as one would think.
  8. NorthshoreCity

    Toronto 2221 Yonge Condos | 192.62m | 58s | Tower Hill | Pei Partnership

Based on the SPA resubmission last month the height of this building will be 192M, 59 storeys incl. mechanical penthouse/rooftop garden. Will this be updated in the thread title? http://app.toronto.ca/DevelopmentApplications/associatedApplicationsList.do?action=init&folderRsn=3270439
