The old "Eyes on Church" space (beside old Cumbrae's) has the plywood down and the windows indeed have been replaced. Looks like the little vestibule between the two spaces remains. Cumbrae's side is still boarded up for now.

The posted building permit says it's for window replacement. I wondered if they're just tweaking the exterior to remove that little alcove where people were sleeping/panhandling. But I'm just guessing.

Scaffolding has come down around the Hero Burger building. I wonder if they're going to try to be open in time for Pride. Also, I was at Olympic Pizza tonight and they said they're closing permanently in 3 weeks and won't be seeking a new location. Another one bites the dust.

Nice! When I went by today there was a construction worker out front having a smoke and he said it should be open in about a month. They're doing renovations.

Aha! Signs of life at the old Fresh Burger. And it seems somebody has added some joy to the Alexander Wood statue. ?

Tried to go to Fresh Burger for lunch today and it too was closed. No sign indicating why... Didn't see anything about being behind in the rent, etc. Edit: Their Facebook page says they closed March 1...

I think the Hero Burger is toast now too. The sign is still up on the wooden construction cladding, but there are no signs of life inside the store. When I went past there today someone was using the entryway as their home.

Saw today that O'Grady's is undergoing some renovations. They appear to be temporarily closed.

There's no signs of activity in Cumbrae's which makes me nervous. Their Instagram says "As for the reopening situation we will update very soon." That was posted 5 days ago.

Saw the blinds closed at Cumbrae's at lunch today and was worried they'd closed up shop, but the sign on the door says they're closed for repairs.

Saw work going on inside the Loaded Pierogi place today.
