I thought this was a lot of scaffolding. Then I saw the Ryerson Student Learning Centre.

I agree with on your dislike or driving and your hope for Toronto becoming car independent, but unfortunately that goal will be MUCH harder for our city for two main reasons: -Geography. With the exception of Manhattan, New York is just as much of a sprawl bomb (to take writer David Owen's...

I am a layman when it comes to this project. What design are they going with? Oxford can't seem to make up there mind. If it is aA, I hope they hope up with something better than the design currently featured on their site. They're passable, but something that could be up to 85 stories should...

I don't know, that committee does not sound very promising for the success of this project...

I think that having recessed balconies in condos above 30 stories is the only sensible way to go for developers who insist on including them. Last year, I took a tour of Shangri-La, and stepped out on a balcony at the 54th floor, and let me tell you, it's really not a pleasant experience (I do...

No, of course it's not strictly necessary. I'm not saying that all residential buildings in the downtown cores should not have parking, that is idiotic. This building just shows that parking is not a necessity. Annoyed that you won't have parking? Then don't live in this building. End of...

Do you have a link to verify that date and time? I would REALLY like to attend.

This is interesting. The wavy shape reminds me of Chicago's Lake Point Tower.

You know what, Toronto needs more meat-inspired architecture. The Mirvish+Gehry towers is a good start: they look at bit like a pile of cold cuts. (the right one is probably roast beef).

Yeah, it wouldn't make a lot of sense. I like the current design though, I'm just said that they got rid of the diagrid columns at the base. The model on the left reminds me of the Guangzhou IFC. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guangzhou_International_Finance_Center

First of all, I never said I didn't like the Massey Tower. It's a nice design, I just don't think it's anything special. Everyone seems to be fawning over it, and I wanted to know what features of the project people liked. In my opinion, One Bloor takes that balconied box typology and turns it...

Models of 2 Queen West that I saw in the Ziedler office during doors open 2013. Such a shame were a left with a box, and not with on of these awesome designs. Any planner who thinks a 60 storey apartment building in the middle of the downtown core within a minute's walk of a huge subway system...

My street deserves something more interesting that this… Let's try a different typology then the air-conditioned, balconied, extruded box.

Thank you, good sir. This building will be glorious!

    Toronto Massey Tower Condos | 206.95m | 60s | MOD Developments | Hariri Pontarini

I'm not saying I don't like it. I think the way that this tower meets the ground is superb, and if you are going to simply extrude the site 60 stories, the Massey Tower does it better than most.
