I dont think i'd even attempt to ride the transit in Mississauga on a sunday if it involved a transfer. Unless it was like the 26 to the 19 where I could wait inside the warm terminal while waiting for the bus to come for 30 mins.

Actually thats incorrect as I have just researched the numbers. The fish bowl buses had 55 seats and the new low floor buses have 39. Thats 16 less seats or 29% less seats. That's a big number anyway you look at it. Losing 16 seats on everybus to accommodate less then 1% of Torontos...

What about the loss of seating? Believe it or not im sure there's a lot of people who dont ride transit because they cant sit down. Less seats also means less seats for people with mobility issues.

I totally agree with that article. I said the same thing in the first post that It would be very annoying if you were travelling further west then Shaw. I really dont understand why they wouldnt make it short-turn at Roncesvalles instead of Shaw.

I live at Queen st. W and Roncesvalles ave. and I'm going to be pissed if I'm waiting for a streetcar at Queen and Bathurst in -15 C snow storm weather only to see one come by that doesnt go all the way to Roncesvalles. The short turn for westbound streetcars should be at Roncesvalles not Shaw...

And its not like every streetcar goes the whole route on its current service. I dont know about the east bound cars but the west bound cars all dont go all the way to long branch. A good bunch already turn back at Humber and Roncesvalles. So most of the street cars are already concentrated...

I just read this on the Transit Toronto website and I had no idea this was coming dispite the fact that I live on Queen St. W in Parkdale. So anyways what do you guys think of this? I personally think its stupid. My reasoning is that it just seems adding slow turns of streetcars at corners...

One question though. How can an automated system control the doors for the subway train? That part of operations kinda needs a human discretion.
