On the subject of the leather shop bypass... Looks like more progress on the possible new pedestrian path through Bay. The stairwell down to the moat is open again, after having been closed off for the last week or so. The construction hoarding on the other side of the fenced/gated off portion...

Don't forget the cow catcher and ram bars for those pesky red lights

I find it amusing but also slightly worrying that in the event of a fire alarm, your first instinct is to take pictures and record the alarm :p

If I remember correctly, the leather shop is already gone in that video. It was past the fruit market, up the ramp and just past those window panes on the right. It's been a looong time, the shop was already punched out for the pedestrian pathway prior to closing the concourse, I guess.

The existing pedestrian pathway that lead to the subway station and PATH are known as the leather shop bypass because that's where the little leather shop used to be before the Bay Concourse was closed.

It's looking more and more likely pedestrian traffic through the leather shop bypass will soon be re-routed through the Bay Concourse. I just passed through during lunch and they appeared to be polishing the floors of the middle section of the Bay Concourse. There also seems to be an initiative...

Lots more HVAC work, as well as bracketing and cable trays for electrical up in the Bay Concourse.

Regarding the existing bollards, I'm fairly positive they are purely cosmetic (they're definitely not concrete). I've seen a few of them that have been hit by vehicles. They just bend right over.

Of the sheeting being ripped off the floors, yes. The flooring was in fairly ugly condition underneath. This morning they were going over the floor with large buffers and putting its show shine on.

Floors in the lower York food court were being cleaned and polished this morning.

More notable progress in the Bay Concourse, a lot more HVAC ducting is going up! (Again, I didn't think to take pictures...) Something else I only just noticed is almost all of the old wiring that has been dangling from the ceiling since reno started has been removed.

Succuterra is the plant shop. It's actually kind of cute, if not out of place in a train station... I guess for when you need a cactus at the last minute? Or maybe a gift for the boss. CXBO Chocolates was only a temporary "pop-up" and they were always scheduled to close at the end of February...

Progress in the Bay Concourse! I didn't get any pictures, but granite cladding is going up around the large concrete pillars, as well as new temporary wood boarding along the bases. It looks like there's much more construction activity in the concourse now. The structure of the moat cover is...
