Hell, I'd join. I'd get other people to join too. Now to watch this thread devolve into useless debating.

    TTC: Pape Station Renovation

It's not a presumption when it's based on personal observation. Yes, it would serve the area, I'm not denying that. Not nearly as well as a diversion through Thorncliffe would though. The problem here seems to be that you are insistent on the line linking with the B-D east of Pape, whereas...

    More TTC website woes

I just received a response from Adam Giambrone. Hopefully it'll at least get looked into.

    TTC: Pape Station Renovation

^^^ Also what he said ^^^ You are telling us to ignore the most dense area along the proposed route. That is like saying "Screw putting a station right at Bloor-Yonge, stick one at Rosedale Valley and Park instead. It's close enough." You're entirely missing the idea that the prime...

    More TTC website woes

Alright, so I guess we can change this from "TTC developers can't fix broken links" to "TTC developers can't make their website work right on different browsers". I just sent my friend to the TTC website and he gets an error in Firefox when viewing the announcement as well. Something wicked is...

    More TTC website woes

I cleared my cache a half dozen times and tried two different browsers just to make sure it wasn't my cache. However, now it seems to be working in only Internet Explorer. Strange.

    More TTC website woes

Update: The diversion is now over, yet still the link does not work. Thus, for the several days before the diversion to after it was over, the link was not working. I sent the following email to Mr. Giambrone after posting this last night. Was I right to use the chair@ttc.ca address?

    More TTC website woes

I posted this on the Transit Toronto group on February 28th, but I figured I would showcase the ineptness of the TTC's web designers on here as well. Backstory: as many of you should know, the University-Spadina subway is closed until noon today from St. Clair West to Union for track...

    MoveOntario 2020

Hopefully by the time the subway extension is built, there will be a smart card system in place. If a tap-in-tap-out type system were implemented, then a connection like this is entirely feasible. Get on the western Hwy. 7 bus running to Centre. Free transfer to the subway. If you take it north...

Toronto Spadina Subway Extension Emergency Exits | ?m | 1s | TTC | IBI Group

Honestly, I'm becoming inclined to believe Dentrobate is a troll, and he sits there laughing in his little spinny chair every time one of us takes the bait. That's the only way I can justify statements like the one you replied to existing. Because seriously, "electricity generating snow...

Officially Unofficial Metrolinx Regional Transportation Plan Thread

I agree with everything there except for your DRL plans. Why would it follow the Don Valley Parkway? Nobody lives on highways, and the highway itself as well as the river pose barriers. A much better plan would be to follow the rail corridors as much as possible. This would keep it relatively...

Toronto Spadina Subway Extension Emergency Exits | ?m | 1s | TTC | IBI Group

BECAUSE THAT TWO MINUTE INTERCHANGE CAN BE ELIMINATED FOR THE SAME COST OF KEEPING IT. It's really hard not to start devolving into personal insults at this point, but for the love of god, are you actually saying that it's better to grin and bear it for another two decades when, for the same...

Officially Unofficial Metrolinx Regional Transportation Plan Thread

There are few times I have laughed out loud so hard at a single statement. I think this argument is over.

Yes, they're lying about how the SRT needs replacement. The SRT that is constantly down for maintenance, down due to problems with the technology, and down because of a centimetre of snow. It's not a convenient lie, it's the complete truth, and it's been known since the thing was built that the...
