This house is disgusting - my parents live close to it and I gag every time I drive by it. Southeast Oakville is all grotesque McMansions, there's no doubt about it, but this is by far the worst I've ever seen.

This is obscene if true. The City has been planning and amassing s37 funds for years for heritage commemoration and community facilities on this site. The Province would be going out of their way to obliterate archaeological remains of national significance.

I don't think this is true? Though publicly funded, U of T is a distinct corporate entity (The Governing Council of the University of Toronto is applicant on all of their planning applications). Of course, there are lots of politics at play when it comes to their growth and development...

This is a new owner, they have every right to bring a new development application, and the planning context has changed significantly since the prior application was filed. Yes, this particular proposal is also a hot turd. It will be amusing to see this get put through the wringer by the city.

I don't disagree at all. But the way you engage with people is often condescending and unproductive. People notice.
