Just walked by here the other day. What a mess. One of the ugliest condos I’ve ever seen. This will not age well; the off-white coloured podium already looks dirty. This area needs to be brightened up, it is begging for some nice architecture.

The best thing about this building might be that Domino’s is next door. Other than that, it leaves a lot to be desired. I guess I’m a perfectionist but I’m bothered by the mismatched colouring of the brick panels on the podium and how it appears like a lego project that doesn’t fit together...

Is it normal that the proposal to construct the 53 story tower would still be in review this late in the game? I thought Lanterra already received permission for this before Concert took over?

How can any builder think that cheap looking brown podium with all its gaps looks acceptable? Note to self: Alterra builds junk.

Similar quality/reminds me of the Garrison in Fort York or that rental building at Church and Isabella, 66 Isabella. That’s not a good thing. Very cheap podium.

The site looks like a scene from Detroit currently, all boarded up like from a horror movie. They should start working on it so it doesn’t scare away potential buyers.

The absurd length of time that this project has taken leads me to believe that the Gupta group is not a dependable builder that I would consider in the future.

I completely agree. I used to live at Yonge and College (for 9 years) and now live at James Cooper Mansion. I feel far safer in the Bloor and Sherbourne area, there seem to be more and more sketchy characters at Yonge/College and Yonge/Wellesley lately. I’ve been bothered many times over there...

Nice article. The article mentions "revitalization of three 1970s-era rental towers". These buildings are looking pretty sad, are there any specifics about how they will revitalize them?

I agree I love the design of it based on the renderings. Hopefully it will look as good in reality.
