Anyone know who the Architect is?

I wonder how sales are going and if they will increase now that 620 King - Context has been put on hold or cancelled.

I just came back from coffee and can confirm that the huge banner has been removed from 620 King West. Plazacorp (Musee) has a sign coming soon and are currently setting up their sales centre at the site beside one eleven so anyone visiting recently would know. Also the huge levelled site...

Not likely since 620 King is right around the corner and the huge banners wrapping the building would be kind of evident. Actually the eastern view of one eleven will be blocked by Musee at 525 Adelaide - proposed 19 stories not Context if it were built. I hope it is on hold and not cancelled...

That's not going to happen. Factory Theatre is on the North side and deemed historical.

Totally agree. It also sucks looking South from King and Spadina on the West side. It sucks as the 4th floor view from near King and Bathurst. Having said that it is too bad because imo it started out ok on the East side of Spadina...

Definitely preparing for demo - more equipment and fence around the building tonight. Going to be very interesting to see this area evolve with 111 Bathurst and 620 King Context over the next couple of years.

It looks like they may be setting up for demo of the old buildings in behind at 525 Adelaide. Stupide question but how do I do a search for the 525 Adelaide thread - I tried advanced search under forum to no avail???

I think Greed should just accept it, build it and move on. His average 5 year wait time these days for a new build is disgusting! Not to mention what you get after waiting for 5 years - 650 King is a huge disappointment.

This morning I noticed that the artist rendering banner was removed which makes sense. However, the temporary For Lease banner on the smaller building was gone as well - hmm.

It looks like they may be cutting openings for windows and a doorway on the North side of the building. I wonder if they are going to building a model suite/showroom there.

Actually they put up the scaffolding prematurely. They waited for about a year for the Pope to send (approve) the cheque for over a million dollars before restoring commenced.

Agreed - this is great news! Maybe this will motivate someone to do something similar with that Barbershop and Voltaire eyesore just to the south of this.
