I may have a clue about the sudden uptick of down readers and it may have to do with the 2-hour transfers that began being pushed out on the 11th by the Presto. As of right now the 2 hour transfers is working unofficially according to Ben Spur from the Star and I suspect there may be bugs...

Something must have happened with the OCS. All the flexities on Spadina are using poles right now instead of pantograph.

That was before they were able to input the TTC transfers. People who were using Presto during that 3 weeks got 2 hour transfers.

4486 testing northbound on Spadina right now. It has a huge “pay here” decal slapped on the side of a the S&B fare machine where it says fare/transfer. Don’t know if any other car has this. EDIT: here’s a horrible photo of it

You can definitely get a empty Presto card at a GO station. Every defective/lost card I had I ended up getting a empty replacement card at my local GO station.

Now that you mention it, I did get a free transfer on the 506 the other day when it was supposed to charge me again. I thought it was a system glitch like always but the location and whatnot was a correct.

Presto has updated their website with locations that have the machines

They can't stop selling legacy fares as the LUMs that were supposed to be available this year won't be available until the middle of next year.

Donlands has a full service machines that’s not activated yet outside of the fareline. Kennedy has 2 reload machines installed next to the currently closed 57 Midland platform. Every station should have a full service machine by the end of the month.

The one at Greenwood has been on for a couple of days now.

Castle frank has meatgrinder exits at the end of the bus bay.

It’s been hit or miss for me. Mostly on the newer buses or newer streetcars that it has been acting up. I either have to hold it against the reader for 5 seconds or retap it.

Pantos goes up in the Spadina turnaround track inside the tunnel and goes down at Charlotte loop.

Looks like it’s not just the new cars coming in service that has parklink machines. 4441 and 4446 has been retrofitted with one in the back as well.
