Maybe it was just me, or wishful thinking on my part, but during that interview it really seemed like he was just going through the motions and his heart wasn't really in it...like he knows, deep or not so deep down, that the jig is up.

My guess is he needs to feel like he's done something with his life aside from ruin it.

Anything's possible with these two, but as others here have noted, Doug doesn't have Rob's inexplicable personal popularity, he's repeatedly said he's not re-running for city council (much less mayor), he seemingly has even less ability to work with people than Rob does, he'd have that Rob Ford...
