Reminds me of Shangri-la although it could be just how they depicted the rendering. Looks decent to me. It is a lot better than the last version and I like how the podium staggers back to allow more sunlight to reach street level. Question is why would anyone want to buy here given the last flop?

While working next to the site, I can appreciate having the park, being next to the transformer kind of makes me want to pass on this one. Not sure why anyone would want to live next to one.

How many times does the approved design differ from the preliminary renderings? Almost every time. This is probably just to emphasize massing and placement.

I wish developers were more concerned with the street presence than tacking on some hidious wing to make their project "unique"

50 floors huh. They seem to be pretty gung ho about this development. Might be a bit too much for this area given Success right beside it.

Skyscraperpage has this one at 218.5 metres. Did I miss it on here or are they using the old height?

Makes you wonder if they may tack on a few extra floors if demand is there. Question is how tall can they go based on the available elevators? If that is the real reason behind the height decrease.

How many times have artists took liberties when rendering a building in its surrounding context? They aren't really concerned about accuracy.

Hmmm this one doesn't seem to be having much luck. Already cut the height and still cant get enough of it sold.

Personally I love the cladding and think this project suits this corner well. I have high hopes.

It never seemed like a lot of people really liked 1 Bloor East. It received a lot of criticism over the years. On the topic of Emerald Park, I think this one will go up, but future projects by Bazis seem to be in doubt to me unless they are smaller scale.
