    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Dedicated ROW with priority signalling = Out of my way, four-wheeled plebs. True chad transit.

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

The official render doesn't show that part but the relative elevations suggest that it will be at-grade. Looks to me like they might place the crossings at existing intersections, one at Square One drive and the other at the 403 north exit ramp.

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

But you need a Presto account anyway to make it work? I'm not seeing what advantage this gives. What am I missing?

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

So the pushbox at Port Credit is on the west side of Hurontario, but the pushbox at the QEW is on the east side?

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

I do wonder where they're going to squeeze it in, then. I guess the north portion of Brampton GO can be moved to accommodate a third track on that side? Edit: Sorry, didn't read ShonTron's comment... If it's going on the south side, won't they need to rebuild the south portion of the VIA/GO...

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

The double-tracked section is barely 1.5km long. Triple tracks both east and west of that. All of it was single-tracked just 16 years ago. Is it really so difficult of a problem to overcome with a little smart scheduling and coordination of the trains?

There is 100% going to be a straighter desire path near that curvy sidewalk.

    Orangeville-Brampton Railway (OBRY)

Can someone post the relevant info from that? I don't have a FB account.

    Mississauga Oro at Edge Towers | ?m | 50s | Solmar | Rosario Varacalli

The tower nearest Hurontario is supposed to have retail space in the podium.

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Like what? I don't want to make the bus driver tap the sign, but I spent a portion of my 90s childhood in Brampton and everyone knew that "Main Street", "Highway 10", and "Hurontario Street" were three names for that one road. It makes perfect sense to call the LRT Line 10, or some variation on...

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

While I share your frustration with the inconvenience of Hurontario being constantly worked on, I think the LRT is a good thing. I've lived in a European city with a proper streetcar network, and rail is simply better, Especially on a dedicated ROW. Buses are literally the bare minimum of...

    Mississauga Hurontario-Main Line 10 LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

I don't understand why Metrolinx and the province are both saying, "No Backsies!" to moving the Steeles stop. Having read this earlier post I'm left confused at the intransigence on display. I get that it's a change in scope of the contract, but it's honestly such a small one. We're taking...

Dundas St Rapid Transit (Metrolinx, Mississauga, Halton Region, CoT)

No, it's my mistake. I drew conclusions from the top-down render and some of the other comments. I didn't look closely enough at the other pictures. The bike lane being raised above road level helps, and it's not a "gutter". It would surely be nice to have some extra horizontal separation as...

Dundas St Rapid Transit (Metrolinx, Mississauga, Halton Region, CoT)

As wide as it is, it's still a "bicycle gutter". Cycle paths should be fully separated from road traffic. If you have 2m to spare anyway, attach it to the sidewalk. Bicycle vs. pedestrian collisions tend to be less deadly than car vs. bicycle collisions, for what I hope are pretty obvious reasons.

    Orangeville-Brampton Railway (OBRY)

In ShonTron's post immediately before mine, he quotes from your post, which has two attachments, and I'm referring to the second one, which for some reason has "Highway 410" marked on a road that clearly isn't the 410.

    Orangeville-Brampton Railway (OBRY)

Why does that second picture have "Highway 410"? Pretty sure that's not it.

The driveway asphalt was poured on the 26th and/or the 27th. Work is still taking place on Saturdays.

Work is happening on weekends and starts very early in the mornings (7 am sometimes). They seem to really be trying to hurry this thing up.

Possible to purchase a home without a lawyer in Ontario?

What chaos? People buy property very rarely. (And by that I mean "normal", natural persons.) The system could easily handle it. If the law says I *must* have a legal professional then it necessarily implies that the law - which I am bound by - is beyond my understanding and ability to manage...

Possible to purchase a home without a lawyer in Ontario?

I have a question that I can't seem to get a clear answer to: Does one absolutely require a lawyer when purchasing a home in Ontario? Note that I am not asking whether this is smart - or even sane - merely whether it is legally possible. I came upon some info saying "no" but it all applies to...
