The road surface at the intersection of Yonge and Wellesley is in atrocious condition, why doesn't the city have a requirement that these developers contribute something to improving the streetscape on which their buildings go up and are even named after?
Such a prominent position on the skyline for such a bland uninspired building. At least it's curtain wall I guess, but a dab of color like a red stripe going up it would have helped.
I think the problem is a school of thought in architecture that a new building has to fit in its surroundings. When the surroundings are all green and gray glass buildings, they just multiply.
Toronto is awesome, few cities on this continent are comparable (NYC, LA, Chicago).
Granted all this development does make the city feel like it's under construction, which can be jarring, but the future is exciting.
