The brick cladding and glass do not look the worst up close, besides the gaps between the panels. Overall I'm still pleasantly surprised with the glass and darker spandrel. Considering it's their signature piece, I'll give the benefit of the doubt and reserve judgement until the tower portion...

Excuse my ignorance, but at the last DRP meeting was it not recommended for a redesign of the massing in relation to the CN Tower? I know the DRP can only give recommendations, so was it just ignored and the developer will go ahead with this design?

I actually think the balconies could have saved it, if they were opaque/coloured. The shape is at least interesting, but it's lost with the transparent glass.

The subtle boldness of these towers are really winning me over...It's sad that phase 2 will literally overshadow the redeeming qualities of them from the west side. They're gonna look especially great through the Bremner Blvd valley:

This building is still under construction and somehow already looks 40 years old. The cladding is visibly dirty and discoloured...hopefully it gets a good wash. I don't hate brutalist style, but its cold presence does weigh heavy in the otherwise colourful Village. Maybe unpopular on this...

When it comes to residential high rises, yeah it does. It's not called Billionaire's Row for nothing. Although midtown NYC does have great supertall designs, I'd rather have this elegant stacked box that is 'affordable', than a spectacular-looking safety deposit box for foreign billionaires.
