The glassy, reflective, Postmodern, 1983-built. Manulife Headquarters North Tower is tucked in behind the firm's Classical 126-built South Tower at 200 Bloor Street East. The newer building sits amidst lushly landscaped grounds that overlook the Rosedale Ravine, while the building's highly reflective fenestration is meant to disappear somewhat into that landscape. Evinced in this image by UrbanToronto Forum contributor DavidCapizzano, the supposed chaos of the natural is played off against the hard lines of the artificial, while the reflections in the glass work to meld them.
