Same here. There is a general lack of buildings with setbacks in the city, especially ones that have a good symmetry in their design. And while I acknowledge the complaints about the quality of the facade, from a distance she sure cuts out a nice slender profile.

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

Never thought I'd hear the day when someone wanted more cameras - I mean have you seen Union Station lately? Place has more surveillance than Fort Knox. Anyhow, every station has cameras Long Branch included, take a look when exiting the stairwell they're mounted to its walls. But the coverage...

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

Yeah, apparently at last word they feel like revising service patterns will be sufficient to prevent it from being a choke point i.e Running Stouffville trips on the northern side of the Kingston corridor between the junction and Union.

So highways are only worthwhile if they're congested messes? East Gardiner is one of the only portions of any highway in the city that actually isn't over capacity i.e. functions as intended, for a majority of the time. And it's not going to cost the city a single penny to maintain anymore.

Hopefully somebody asked CP about this. CN/MX/OnCorr may not like it but none of them have the final say in the matter. Answered you own question - Both head end crew members on VIA trains are LE's. An LE understands the braking capabilities of a train regardless of his postion(or at least one...

On another note... here's something you don't see everyday in Canada - video footage of that CN/EXO train crash in Montreal from last November: Gotta admit this much, Crash National doing a bang-up job of maintaining their reputation 👍

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Sure but the GO system was definitely experiencing its own crowding problems as well. Apparently some platforms at Union were taking up 10+ minutes just to clear when unloading. Not as many as you necessarily think, booking off means losing out on stat pay. Christmas is worse for that. All...

Good eye they do look photoshopped in there, the loco is huge but not quite to that degree. The editor probably tried to eyeball it but ended up with a case of

Same here! And that they are 😅 Word is the crew received a restricting signal to enter the block the EXO train was stopped in. If so they actually did have permission to be in that block, but only under the provisions of restricted speed, that being "must be able to stop within one-half the...

There was a collision between a CN train and an EXO train, Montreal's commuter service, a couple of weeks ago(Nov 21st) on the Mascouche line. I'm surprised this wasn't posted on here, or perhaps it was but elsewhere...

    QEW - Mississauga/Credit River Project

That pic makes it look like they're turning it into two one-lane, one-way bridges. That would definitely solve the GTA's traffice problems 🥴

They probably will more pics of the interior post-flames; While the interior will need to be gutted I'm sure the structural integrity of the car is just fine. I suppose it's simply a question of how much it will cost to replace everything, probably still cheaper than a new car.

Whats that old adage again? If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck, it basically is a duck.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Yup not looking good, possibly a total loss depending on the extent of the fire and water damage to the electrical/pneumatics. In the very least the entire interior will have to be gutted.

And finally jump back ahead of Philadelphia, Atlanta, San Francisco, Houston and LA in 'the Great North American race for the sky'. It's annoying how these smug little cities thought that they could stay ahead of us in that regard. 😒
