Thanks a lot for all the pics today, MafaldaBoy! I think that you covered the entire downtown ;) I don't see how the cladding here looks bland or cheap, as mentioned above. I love the use of the fins. It's really looking stellar. But I guess if one takes photos on dreary days then any...

I noticed that, too. A little vague with '2014'. That could mean Dec 31st, 2014 lol. There were just too many projects launches here back in 2012 and developers completely over-saturated the market. Things have slowed down in a good way. There are a few GG projects that I'd love to see get...

    Toronto 87 Peter | 156.05m | 49s | Menkes | Core Architects

That's an old ad. If you see their new ads in condo mags or on their own website there is no longer any reference to 'Noir'. Sometimes companies do this (that are lacking sales numbers) as a fresh new take on an existing project. When they say 'Coming Soon' and 'Introducing 87 Peter' they are...

Toronto home: Power and Adelaide | 78.33m | 22s | Great Gulf | Core Architects

Set to launch this Spring (starting from mid $200's) according to Great Gulf's website. http://www.greatgulf.com/comingsoon

    Toronto Ryerson Student Learning Centre | 50.59m | 8s | Ryerson University | Zeidler

Agreed! It's certainly funky and eye-catching in a very good way. I can see this being one of the most photographed new buildings as it comes together.

    Toronto 87 Peter | 156.05m | 49s | Menkes | Core Architects

It seems that the marketing name has changed from 'Noir' to just '87 Peter' according to new ads in the condo mags and on Menkes' website http://www.menkes.com/condominium-living/coming-soon I don't believe that anything else has changed, just the new name. I guess Noir was too dark.

Whoa! I've never seen a rendering bust right out of the ground like that before. I wonder where it's coming from

I'm also not sure why we'd want something a little less pedestrian focused in a big city.

1 Yorkville (Bazis, Plaza) - Real Estate -

It's just going into sales now @ approx. $850/sq. ft. and smallish units. But it is Yorkville after all and the interior and exterior looks pretty fancy :p. The floor plans look decent. Likely an end of 2015 or early 2016 construction start for completion in fall of 2018.

    Toronto Ivory On Adelaide | ?m | 22s | Plaza | Hariri Pontarini

Haha, owning a brand new unit can be a lesson in patience and tolerance that's for sure. Everything seems to work out in the end...it's just the getting there that is challenging! If you want to buy pre-construction, and really don't want any real hassles, then stick with Tridel for the best...

    Toronto Library District Condominiums + Toronto's 99th Library | ?m | 29s | Context Development | KPMB

Awesome! Thanks a lot for these pics. It's going to be a sweet place once completed and have such a cool view overlooking the park. I expect it to be quite busy.

    Toronto TCHC Block 32 Development | ?m | 41s | TCHC | KPMB

Stats Can normally collects this type of info during a Census, so 70% to 75% of Ontarians seems more than reasonable. I recall answering that question in 2011. It doesn't mean that people go to church regulary, however; just what they identify themselves as.

    Toronto The Well | 174.03m | 46s | RioCan | Hariri Pontarini

Oh, by 'young' I didn't mean teenagers or twenties lol. It's marketed for people who can actually afford a condo and not merely rent, i.e. 30's and up. By this age people are starting to get concerned about not being invincible and thinking about their health that's all. Maybe it is lame. So...

    Toronto The Well | 174.03m | 46s | RioCan | Hariri Pontarini

I tend to think of the word 'well' as well being. The developers are going for a mix-use community: Live Well. Work Well. Shop Well. And on Wellington St. Adding the word "market" suggests a place that you wouldn't want to live, necessarily. We have enough Districts, Markets, and Places...

That, and it's also hip to move into a brand new space

Really? There's more breaking news? It's been an exciting week in development land. I didn't think that Sunlife would ever move either. But at least the south core will be completed with construction in about 4 years.

    Toronto Massey Tower Condos | 206.95m | 60s | MOD Developments | Hariri Pontarini

Good news. That's awesome sauce. So congrats to you, Massey Tower, on this major accomplishment of being (fully) approved. Good luck with your excavation :p p.s. The music on The Massey Tower website is the only condo marketing music that I haven't ever immediately turned off.
