Is Carlyle just a flipping outfit now? I hope they bring their St. Clair West site to life and don't just sell it. Regardless, nice to see this in good hands - a good conclusion overall with quality rental coming to life here. When can we have an Urban Toronto Storage Wars and bid on the...

The stone on the garage entrance looks like the architect used a SketchUp "stone" material quite literally. Yuck.

    Toronto The View Residences | 30.48m | 8s | Condoman | Standard Practice

Just my annual post questioning the viability of the Condoman projects in the east end that have sold but don't have permits and haven't moved in three years. How are they able to gain construction financing and not be underwater? Post Lofts, Theo and View Residences. Would like to hear from any...

Why just "concerns"? Why not "comments" or "support" as well?

    Toronto 699 Lawrence West | 128.56m | 38s | Midtown West Residences | Core Architects

I'm a density crusader as much as the next guy on here, but this is 10 storeys too tall. Anyone trying to turn left out of here needs to sign a waiver. It's terrifying.

Wasn't there proposed terms for the sale from Council (Fillion) that they have to follow a certain FSI?

Surprised this didn't get a Refusal Report.

    Toronto 5509 Dundas West | 72.16m | 22s | Contessa | Turner Fleischer

This Zoned Site is now For Sale (contrary to the owner's webpage that said it was going to build it as purpose-built rental): https://www.5509dundaswest.com/

There was a drill rig on this site the other day. One to keep an eye on.

Did they apply for a minor variance?

Downtown Fairview, Cooksville and Hospital Policy Review – Draft Official Plan Amendment and Built Form Standards.

This has potential to be the next North York Centre if done properly, with this node being the height peak of it all. One thing that Mississauga does do well is simplified rules and I'm glad to see these documents carrying that forward. Processing the applications is another story though.

Downtown Fairview, Cooksville and Hospital Policy Review – Draft Official Plan Amendment and Built Form Standards.

Why 25 storey height cap next to the Cooksville GO Station? Shouldn't this be the nexus of height here with the BRT, LRT and potential for two-way GO? This is backwards. It will be one of the best served transit nodes in the GTA. Should be 35-40 storey maximum with limited parking.

I eat my words on the 6 Dawes proposal. I did not think that the setback from the rail and proposed crash wall would be acceptable. I wonder how thick it will be as the VIA flies by here. I would like to see the details of it.

    Toronto Rogers Centre Renovations | ?m | ?s | Toronto Blue Jays | Populous

I am suggesting that CLC (landowner) or Rogers elect to have their Site Plan application for the renovations be subject to DRP Review. Federal land may be entirely exempt from Site Plan Control as per Planning Act. I am not sure on that one.

Truthfully all I care about is them updating the Bremner frontage/streetscape. Would it kill them to activate it with with bars, restaurants, a beer garden? Create a destination to go before and after the games? Get the Design Review Panel on this!

Toronto Princess Gardens NE Infill | 48.8m | 14s | Princess Management | Turner Fleischer

Will the City have the bravery to redesignate all of the homes along Eglinton to mixed-use and let them proceed with mid-rises the width of Eglinton? I have looked at this stretch 20 different ways and I don't really see much for intensification opportunities other than making these type of...

    Toronto 25 Audley Street | 85.95m | 25s | Rietz Properties | Michael Spaziani

This is a "rendering"? This is bullshit. What is this? Who is Reitz Properties? 1998 called they want their ground floor retail back and tower design back.

Very strange. They went to a lot of work to secure Open Door and CMHC financing. I wonder what this means for those affordable units? https://www.toronto.ca/legdocs/mmis/2019/cc/comm/communicationfile-97449.pdf

    Toronto 500 Sheppard East | 142.4m | 41s | Sevoy Developments | Arcadis

@sunnyraytoronto love your insight - always! I used North York (not North York Centre) Secondary Plans as plural to capture what is happening in the Sheppard East SP as the FSIs have been under attack just like what happened along Yonge Street. Tribute and some updates to Concord's Sheppard...
