    Toronto in the World

Thank for putting this together. For some cities it may be safe to assume there may not be a complete list of all buildings > 100m (such as cities in China, specifically). But even with that consideration, the size of Toronto's construction is quite impressive as as vegeta_skyline noted -...

    Toronto Emerald Park Condos | 128.92m | 40s | Bazis | Rosario Varacalli

Not to get too far off-topic, but Lastman in no way lost the Olympics for Toronto. The games were China's to lose. Any verbal gaffs were totally inconsequential, and any media that has or had suggested otherwise is grossly misinformed.

    Save Transit City Canvass!

I was out canvassing today (the reason why this tread was started), and I had a great time. We got lots of positive words and support from the neighbourhood, plus we had Newstalk 1010 follow us around for a bit as we went door to door.

Toronto Top Ten (by height) 1929-2014

Fantastic! What's really interesting are the gaps where no new buildings cracked the top 10. Specifically looking at the two largest gaps: - Between 1931 and 1951 (depression, World War II), and - Between 1992 and 2005. And if we're looking at the gaps between commerical properties cracking...

    Toronto Council Races - 2010

I'm aware she has ties to that group... but not how she's an anti-semite.

    Urbantoronto Architectural Critique Clichés

If the theory goes: Toronto is currently building mostly mediocre high-rises, then this can only hold true if we're measuring ourselves against some standard. Is this an internal standard (of the ol' "c'mon boys, we know we can do better on the next one") or an external standard (as in, why...

I went ahead and voted for Rob Ford today

I'm closing this thread - not because it's about Rob Ford, but because we don't need a thread for every vote cast (for him or any other candidate). Multiple Rob Ford thread already exist - post in one of those threads if you're so inclined. Perhaps election day there can be a 'super' thread...

Wow. Didn't pay any attention to this or even realize what was being done - but what a fabulous updated addition to our cultural scene.
