    I hope the new LCBO across from the Widdicombe and Eglinton project in question is more than just an LCBO(ie more retail) and not just a liquor store and parking. I fear I will be disappointed. I also hope they give us a nice, modern, not one storey building.

    I put New York in quotes as that is what the owner of the building referred to it as. What it means I guess we can all wait to see. Not a chain, which is the main thing.

    I am in the commercial real estate business and word is it is NOT a Starbucks but some "New York" style coffee shop. So good. The other space in the building is to be a kind of business centre for shorter term office space rental.

    I don't know. I am there all the time, walking, biking, driving. But enough. Immediately south of the site in question is a large corner lot with an older mall with a Metro. It's parking lot is terribly underutilized and you know the land has to move along sometime. I see recently blue fencing...

    You really should get to know a neighbourhood before you opine on it. Etobicoke stretches from the lake well north. This is a very good neighbourhood.
