Those renders are insane. The main (tallest) tower looks better than I imagined. They filled up all the adjacent lots eastward so it looks busier than it should. Is there still an addition to the Toronto Star building in that render? Doesn't seem like it.

Right, my bad. Definitely good to see NYCC getting some stand out developments.

Four actually! Both Gibson towers, the other Hullmark tower, and one of the buildings from Emerald Park.

Yeah I won't lie, I've tried to look at this building with as little bias as possible and a positive view, but those two extruding balconies could have been done way better. Unnecessary in the first place, thedeepend is right, could they not at least make them the same? One or two small setbacks...

They've added a lot more texture with the balconies. And the mechanical roof looks pretty damn good. Only thing is that now they're back to being twins. I was looking forward to two different buildings.

Hipster Duck, I couldn't have said it better myself. Decking over the rails is the main thing I look forward to in this proposal, so without it it's not the same.

Nice! Thanks for the update! The glass looks a bit patchy, it could just be the reflections, not going to judge yet. I think this is the moment a lot of us have been waiting for.

I hope it's an accurate rendering. If that's the sharp building we get to see from NPS I'm all for it.

Good to hear there's still progress. I don't understand the hate for this project. I get it if some people don't like it, but compared to most things going up this is pretty good. I'm hoping they do a better job than Trump with the transition of the concrete setbacks into glass. Not to mention...

Honestly, this may not be an architecturally incredible building, but I'd rather have it in the city than not. We've wanted something with decent setbacks and height for a long time, and we got it. Along with a curved window wall portion and slanted roof which should only make the building look...

    Toronto 50 Bloor Street West | 230.11m | 70s | Morguard Corporation | Pellow + Associates

Ahha interesting. So I'm guessing the eastern portion of the site will be demolished and replaced with a foundation, while the actual Holts on the western half remains open? I'm pretty excited to see the improvements to this and how it's going to be implemented around the existing store.

I was surprised by the fact that the shadow reaches the school, not that the city brings up the shadows, I should have been more clear. Considering Four Seasons got by, I don't see it being a significant issue, I don't know the full story with that one though.

I'm surprised the shadows on Jesse Ketchum School are a concern. Glad they're okay with the height though, I like this one, beef Bloor up with something different, and that has decent setbacks.

A full rendering is up in the portion of PATH under Bay-Adelaide. I'm pretty sure we've only seen the base.

Wow, by far the most imposing picture of Ice I've seen yet. I don't even want to think about the second tower.

Great photos sMT and udo. Udo, it's amazing to think that nothing in your pictures existed just a few years ago.

Hermes? They're crazy. Can't imagine the prices on furniture from there.

Yes. And people are right. This seems way to close to the original square footage for it to be torn down and rebuilt the exact same size. I guess we'll find out more soon regardless.

Incredible. The drive through the Southcore on the Gardiner is already breathtaking. It's hard to imagine all the things that are still to come, especially along the south side.

Jasonzed, I used your great photo to try to make a simple render with Delta and Bremner towers present. I tried to scale best I can. Should look pretty good nonetheless.
