Not that I know of. I just know there's supposedly bad blood between the two. I'm not an insider by any means nor do I have access to much info...just one guy, and just a little here and there. I would consider it pretty reliable, though.

Well, to be fair he did say "The Edmonton Oilers drafted me 41st overall, but I never really made it beyond the minors."

Man, I went to grade and high school in Brampton with a guy whose last name was Ruso. His family owned a garden centre that, if I remember correctly, had two or three separate fires due to "electrical problems".

I'm inclined to believe that there's a connection to his push for casinos and construction (subways, the waterfront, etc...) and organized crime on top of the whole extortion/crack video thing. That's purely me speculating, though.

We made the dead girl/live boy joke, but just laughed it off. He doesn't know the specifics, but seemed to believe that it was to do with misuse of the office...now how big or small that might be, who knows.

That was all he was told, so it's all he told me. The person who told him apparently said something to the effect of "I'm not at liberty to say, but..." and then assured him in very general terms.

For what it's worth, I had beers last night with one of my buddies who is about as closely connected to someone who would know as you can get. He told me that he was told last week that Ford probably wouldn't make it to the election, a lot more was to come out, and that it's about a lot more...

Not necessarily. It depends on where you fall on the bipolar spectrum, and it can be rapid cycling.

Yeah, like I said, wishful thinking. I don't doubt that they'll keep it professional between themselves at every turn, though. I'm going to have a hard time choosing between them, to be honest...which is what makes them both such good candidates -- that there can be enough about both of them...

I would like nothing more than for Chow and Tory to jointly issue a statement to the effect of: "While we may represent different paths to get there, we share in common a vision for a better Toronto. And on October 27, we ask that the voters of Toronto choose which path they believe will best...
