    Toronto 160 Front West | 239.87m | 46s | Cadillac Fairview | AS + GG

That's fair, it is consistent with what is at least to me, the least remarkable part of the main tower :) I also wonder what purpose it serves, could it have been a parkette instead ? The floor plate doesn't seem much larger then the tower so they could have just added a few floors (I...

    Toronto 160 Front West | 239.87m | 46s | Cadillac Fairview | AS + GG

While I think the tower is turning out a lot better then I had expected and arguably will likely be the most unique office building in Toronto. I'm really not liking the 5 story addition. It doesn't really fit in with the rest of the tower nor does the glass / framing seem that high quality...

    Toronto Alexandra Park Revitalization | 53.48m | 15s | TCHC | SvN

Does anyone know if there are timelines for the plans after mrkt condos ? I wasn't able to find anything online. They seem to be going at a much slower pace when compared to saw regent park ?

    Toronto 4800 Yonge Street | 168.24m | 49s | Menkes | Arquitectonica

Thanks for all the details ! So does that imply it's possible they can convert this to a condo or partly a condo down the road ? Pivot Apartments actually looks better than a lot of other modern condos, particularly in the area, while its design isn't anything special, the quality of materials...

    Toronto 4800 Yonge Street | 168.24m | 49s | Menkes | Arquitectonica

One thing I'm really surprised by, this is all rental ? Why wouldn't menkes want to sell condos here ? Did this have to be rentals ?

err ok, why the choice of green ? I do like how the heritage component will effectively be framed in though, that's a really nice touch.

That smaller 4 story building on Simcoe was always part of the plan ?

I do get the criticism but prefer the orange we got at the end of the day :)

    Toronto Regent Park: Phases 4 and 5 | 134.1m | 39s | Tridel | Karakusevic Carson Architects

When do they make a decision about which density option to select ?

    Toronto Tech Boom

Right this was my suspicious as well i.e. that it would be somewhere in the 416 given Tory's involvement. But MCC would be logical too given their current Canadian HQ are there. The other detail is at least initially we're really not talking about that many jobs (it was 40-50) and if I check...

    Toronto 160 Front West | 239.87m | 46s | Cadillac Fairview | AS + GG

This jagged pattern with the glass doesn't repeat all the way up though does it ? I thought it was only the first few floors and then a more traditional flat glass until closer to the roof line ?

    Toronto Azura Condos | 108.2m | 32s | Capital Developments | Arcadis

Surprisingly nice quality for this build compared to most in the area !

    Baby, we got a bubble!?

But arguably condos appreciated a lot faster then homes in the 2016/16 <-> 2021 period, so this is more a leveling off.

    Toronto The Gloucester on Yonge | 147.82m | 44s | Concord Adex | a—A

I do agree that there are indeed a handful of buildings at city place that are actually half decent and deserve more credit. But better than this ? In what sense and which specific buildings are you referring to as I find the attention to detail here is unrivaled when compared to city place.

Toronto Yonge Sheppard Centre Renovations and Expansion | 123.13m | 35s | RioCan | BDP Quadrangle

I was thinking more about my comment and the only counter example I have is the Keg, which I believe does really well, so maybe it's hard to say, I still suspect it will not do well here. That's a very interesting perspective comparing the areas :) As we did the opposite i.e. we lived in Y&E...

    Toronto Pearl Place | 121m | 34s | Conservatory Group | Richmond Architects

I haven't seen a lot of action on the site lately, I wonder if there is indeed fallout due to the ongoing issues with Conservatory at the moment.

    Toronto The Pemberton | 215.79m | 68s | Pemberton | a—A

Even that seems lower. In many older buildings it's much higher e.g. I know plenty of 18-25 story buildings with say ~ 150 units max and they all have 3 elevators so a lot closer to 50 units per elevator. Of course there are other factors (e.g. number of floors and elevator speed).

FYI - I really suspect the article is far off ... IBM is consolidating its many downtown offices here (and it's just two floors), none of the jobs are the Steeles Canadian HQ or the large Warden developer campus (both in Markham) are moving ... and IBM probably has 500 open jobs in Canada as it...
