    Toronto No. 31 Condos | 137.4m | 41s | Lanterra | Arquitectonica

The proportions are really weird. The podium looks like it was made in Minecraft, and the staggered crown feature just looks awkward. Not enough transitional floors for such a dramatic overhang. I like how skinny it is but it's a clunker.

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

LCBO has always advertised with the TTC, they have posters in stop shelters pretty frequently. Sometimes I see a new product I didn't know about so I personally don't have a problem with it.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

Here's an image of the outside view I hadn't seen before. http://transit.toronto.on.ca/photos/articles/art-on-the-ttc/ttc-art---arc-en-ciel-04.html

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

Motion for Yorkdale's art feature to be restored: http://app.toronto.ca/tmmis/viewAgendaItemHistory.do?item=2016.MM20.26

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

Didn't realize it was that big a difference. All the more baffling when lines like the Spadina extension are tunneled.

    Toronto Bloor & Dufferin | 122.35m | 37s | Hazelview | Turner Fleischer

Dufferin Grove is just a block to the South though?

    Toronto The Kip District | 120.44m | 40s | Concert | BDP Quadrangle

It's a very lively stretch with plenty of traffic, obviously there's a mall, the subway and highways here as well. The area has a lot of potential I think.

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

I work in visual design and I can't even agree with this. The savings is in the tens of millions, aesthetics is not worth that much. I also don't find the modern elevated designs that ugly anyway, maybe people are thinking of the older steel structures? These days they are comparable to a...

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

It's a good idea, but is it even possible to embed a photo in the card metadata? That's a lot of information.

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

Modern viaducts take up very little room though? They might be somewhat visually intrusive still, sure, but on the other hand when you're actually riding them the view is much more pleasant! I never understood the staunch opposition to elevated transit in Toronto. We could save significant...

Plans to fill in Allen Road

Actually it sounds exactly like the type of thing that would happen in Toronto.

    Toronto Aqualina at Bayside | 47.85m | 13s | Tridel | Arquitectonica

It's just the budget cladding of the day. Same as concrete before glass came around, brick before that, mud and straw before that. 10 people complaining on an internet forum isn't going to change the way people build cities.

    Moose Rail (National Capital Region)

Pure fantasy. I lived in Ottawa for many years and I don't see how there would be any demand at all for this service. Not only are there just not enough commuters to support it, but people in Ottawa have a very different attitude about transportation. They're very attached to their cars and...

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

I'm probably the odd one out, but I hate riding the TTC in the summer as the AC is way too cold. I usually get out several stops early and walk because it's so uncomfortable.

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

Subway proponents have done a great job of shifting the debate and making it like Scarborough is being persecuted by racist, classist downtown transit overlords.

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Indeed! I imagine once cell service is in the tunnels that could be hooked into various apps as well.

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

A subway station's catchment area usually covers a typical Toronto neighbourhood so I'm not sure it matters much where their borders are. And while it is handy to have an intersection to navigate by, I still think the complications that arise with announcements and wayfinding outweigh that...

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

The Pan Am wayfinding was very well done, and I'm inclined to agree with them here. Signage, wayfinding, announcements etc. are all made much easier for people to understand with short, unique names. Intersection names might be helpful if a line runs across multiple streets, but they rarely do...

    Toronto Albion District Library | ?m | 1s | TPL | Perkins + Will

I'm guessing they will demolish the old branch which is still beside this new building?

Toronto CampusOne Student Residence (was University Place) | 79.85m | 25s | Knightstone | Diamond Schmitt

I don't understand the complaints about height. This is a major intersection served by 2 streetcar lines and right on the edge of downtown. I would expect this building to have plenty of neighbours of similar height in the future.
