    Toronto Bloor & Dufferin | 122.35m | 37s | Hazelview | Turner Fleischer

Dufferin is already a very busy street, it needs higher order transit sooner than later but I haven't ever heard the TTC discuss it. Honestly I don't see the mall going anywhere, it's pretty busy all day and has two major anchor tenants in NoFrills and Wal-Mart, both of which seem to do good...

Toronto CampusOne Student Residence (was University Place) | 79.85m | 25s | Knightstone | Diamond Schmitt

Would have looked decent if they stuck to one design style. The boxy rectilinear form of the building envelope does not suit their haphazard window arrangement and mixture of surfaces. If they stuck to one or two materials and aligned the windows vertically it would look much better. Honestly...

    Toronto Union Pearson Express | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | MMM Group Limited

I read somewhere that the owners of the complex changed a couple years back, so that might be the reason for the sudden movement on a previously dead project. Not sure if it's true though.

Toronto Bathurst Quay Revitalization | ?m | ?s | City of Toronto | Kearns Mancini

I'm wondering if they will be able to fix the pinch point at "B" where the bike lane merges with pedestrians. It's an awkward and somewhat unsafe section at the moment.

    Toronto The One | 328.4m | 91s | Mizrahi Developments | Foster + Partners

It sort of reminds me of Torre Cepsa, Madrid (another Fosters project). Same kind of segmented concept and same idea for the crown as well, just with 4 smaller 'frames' instead of the single large one on Cepsa. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torre_Cepsa

    Toronto Eaton Centre (Ongoing Renewal) | ?m | ?s | Cadillac Fairview | Zeidler

The amount of glass was reduced because the light they admitted could damage exhibits, which was certainly a design oversight when you're building a museum. Architects and engineers have as much capacity to be idiots as anyone else, that's why they have oversight. History is replete with...

Toronto Rees Park Playground and Pavillion | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

Harbourfront Centre is nice, but not quite what I'm talking about. It only has a few scattered restaurants and cafes which aren't that great, Ontario and Canada squares are usually deserted. The entire Quay area is lacking in good quality food/drink establishments. If you line the square with...

Toronto Rees Park Playground and Pavillion | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

I agree with others saying a park is not really necessary here. Personally I see it as a great location for a real public square, the kind we don't have in the city yet, lined with restaurants and pubs with large patios and spaces for food trucks or farmers market stalls. I think this is a prime...

205 Yonge St. (future development, ?)

Good God, please no. A separate structure behind the building (if there's even room) is fine but building on top would be absolutely ridiculous.

    Toronto King-Bathurst Transit Oriented Community: South Site | 88.9m | 25s | Infrastructure ON | SvN

The new building is certainly interesting, but what's there now is still more valuable.

    Toronto Berczy Park Revitalization | ?m | ?s

I've wondered the same, most parks could really use a lot more seating.

Toronto The Bentway (was Under Gardiner) | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

Not surprised if it's true. The fact they redid the poll for such an inconsequential competition was really odd. Then again, online poll manipulation is pretty commonplace, but nobody really cares since online polls rarely have any real impact.

    TTC: New Fare Gate Installation

They've done a surprising amount of them so far, see the list. Some of these stations are probably further along but nobody has reported it, like Castle Frank, Chester, Ellesmere etc. which are scheduled for the Fall. This doesn't include second entrances, but there are usually just 1-2 gates there.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

The new paint job is still rather bland, but it looks better than the old livery and at least it isn't MTA But Red anymore.

    Toronto 383 Sorauren Avenue | 33.83m | 10s | Gairloch | a—A

Even just the indented bricks really improve the look of the larger blank wall sections. I'd like to see more creative brickwork like this, it has the same detail and care as you find on older brick buildings but has it's own modern style.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

Actually you do find those rubber speed bumps in a lot of laneways around the city. I don't believe those are plowed though.

Toronto The Bentway (was Under Gardiner) | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

Nobody knows what a bent is unless it's explained to them, including most people on this forum who are experts in that kind of thing. The name selection competition was quite poorly managed as well.

    TTC: New Fare Gate Installation

I use that entrance daily and it's fairly well used for a secondary entrance. Keep in mind there are many apartments right by it to provide trips and it's a great shortcut to Line 2 in bad weather.

He said "loose tongue" specifically so I addressed that criticism only.

You will probably want to rename anything associated with Diefenbaker, John A. MacDonald, Mackenzie King, etc. as well as they all had even looser tongues and more fiery tempers. Even the beloved Pierre Trudeau was known for his angry outbursts.
