Actually, they approved the motion to apply for two MZO requests....one for the DT site (noting that Rogers is already iin discussion with ML about acquiring the land and that the head of ML is writing a letter to the province supporting the MZO as well) but they also approved the application...

Why go to Vancouver for an example....here is a temporary bridge just down the road....and, yes, if it did not interfere with other infrastructure I would keep something like around to use when needed.

I do wonder, though, if that whole rezoning on the NW side of Steeles/Bramalea goes through and the residential/mixed use community replaces the current old industrial land if we can 'soften" the walk/connection to the train station with some sort of pathway under Steeles at the west end...

York seems very keen on a highway with no transit lanes through a wetland but very opposed to a highway with transit lanes built in the whitebelt. Self interest always rules the day...everywhere.

It may be true that GO has, in total, the most surface spaces in DT Brampton.....but that, in itself, does not make this the largest parking lot in the city (not even close)....and, no, even with the addition of these 270 spots there are not more GO spots than the 1,500 spots the city operates...

The tunnel was extended at the same time A was built but they left the hoarding up....said they built it all too narrow to safely use if I recall correctly.

And the purple bit marked as A was built years ago and just not opened. Have no idea why the pedestrian bridge is "temporary" if you are going to build it....just keep it. It won't be fancy (needn't be going over an expessway) but it can add valuable flexibility to an area designed to attract...

absolutely, the easiest thing to do with a contaminated site is leave it alone and in similar use (as long as the "stuff" is not travelling into more sensitive areas)....i think it will be a huge dig, remove and dump project....the issue with these types of projects is that they often increase...
