    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

I run errands with go bus once in a while, and on presto, it would charge me one trip only for going there and return within 3 hours. The presto machine hung on one of my trips last week when I was getting off the bus, and the driver says not to worry, when you return, it will restart your...

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

Same argument can be said for Scarborough. How long does it take for someone at Steeles and Markham to bus downtown? Also a hour bus ride. But hey, if we talk about current projects the Finch West subway station IS coming. That bus ride is 30 minutes tops from 427. Nothing can be said...

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

The Finch LRT will accommodate once its open. Also, it doesn't take an hour to bus from Kipling and Finch to Keele and Finch (where the spadina subway is) One Bus/LRT ride to subway, one subway ride to downtown way better than anywhere of Scarborough to get downtown.

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

mm...the proper cost would have been $6.13 + .75 for YRT. Im guessing you paid 4.56 (danforth to union) then union to Rutherford 4.80 + .75?

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

Etobicoke equally has 3 subway stations. Scarborough is bigger by 1/3 and it has almost 40% more people. Hard to justify adding more stations in Etobicoke than Scarborough here.

The YRT trip should cancel out the go ride.

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

They're wrong. Your tap at your starting stop, and you tap on the stop you are leaving unless your on a bus. If you have a default. you hit override then tap on at your starting stop. From the sounds of it, when you tapped at rutherford again, it took the minimum amount thinking your...

Star: Next issue for TTC: How to tell who's paid

+1. I've seen those as well. Not sure how brianinhogtowif completely missed those signs if he's a resident. I can remember as far as two years those signs were there. Probably even further back. I only started taking the street car two years ago

    Downtown Scarborough

I was looking for a condo around the same time OP posted. I ended up purchasing a resale unit at one of the unit at equinox one (not EQ1). The area isn't too bad, but the demographics of the area make it degrading sadly to say. It doesn't bother me cause I grew up in the McCowan and Steeles...

Why Streetcars Make People Crazy! (Picture)

Cheaper in terms of labour too. 1 Street Car = 1.5 Bus If we had 200 street car, which mean 200 drivers = 300 Buses, with 300 Drivers the extra labour @ 50k a driver = 10 million vs 15 million If it was 1 street car to 2 buses 200 street car drivers would = to 400 bus drivers. @ 50k = 10...

    TTC: Sheppard Subway Expansion (Speculative)

I believe it suppose to go all the way to Scarborough Town Centre after Kennedy. I strongly believe Sheppard should have been an LRT from the start. Even with all the condo in built along Sheppard alone doesn't support a subway. It needs more businesses and office buildings in the area The...

Which would you choose: Sheppard Subway or Eglinton LRT?

I would choose Eglinton with the condition of extending the B-D to STC, just cause the density along eglinton can support the LRT now, but the density over sheppard would take many 10s of years to support the subway
