    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

The new streetcars aren't bad for carrying luggage in the open areas near the door. Did that going to the island airport

Glad to see Spadina & LV stops, but for those in Distillery or Pan Am Village they'd have to cross the river east to get to a stop? Seems like it would make more sense to have the stop west of the Don river to serve the new neighbourhoods there

Those all seem justified except Unilever, but I'm assuming those who own that property want a stop

    TTC surface stop spacing

I agree with a lot of this post but the Finch West LRT has much further stop spacing than the buses & streetcars mentioned here no? It's definitely faster & farther stop spacing than Spadina which is often like 100-200m stop spacing.

    Toronto Bike Share

These midtown areas are perfect for bike to subway connections.

    Metrolinx: Presto Fare Card

That would be great for tourists. I believe in Boston your T pass covers the ferry from Charlestown to downtown.

This is great! Pretty frequent trains (5-10 min freq) from Kennedy to Mt Dennis, hopefully with fares that make it affordable to use locally. Eglinton West LRT extension, making Eglinton LRT even longer and more useful. Ideal outcome in my opinion. Hopefully some well placed stops on the west...

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Hopefully this occurs and the western extension happens in parallel with current construction, opening not too much later after phase 1. Seems like it should be possible since all construction up till now was on the tunnel. This makes the Eglinton LRT even more useful, Kennedy to Airport across...

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

Good point, it would probably have one elevator but be unstaffed. It would be cool to see a trenched section of LRT with stations like that along highway 27 towards the airport, if possible.

    Self-Driving Vehicles/Autonomous Vehicle Technology

Some will still require owning cars but for the average person living in a big city it's kind of a waste to own a car that sits in a parking lot (either at home or at work) most of the day. I find that in Toronto there are tons of people who own cars and use them a few times per week only.

    Transit Fantasy Maps

Streetcar down Mt Pleasant Jarvis eh? Parts of the route are very highway-like: fast, winding and hilly. Still hoping for a bus route there (that doesn't cost extra and runs all day).

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

Eliminating the turn (and one additional signal) makes sense as a reason to trench it, thanks. I wonder how elaborate this underground station would be, would it need elevators, an employee/attendant etc like other underground stations. I'd assume it would have to be accessible. I guess...

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

What's the reasoning behind having the one stop at the end being underground or in a trench?

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

Places west downtown like CityPlace, Liberty Village, King West (Bathurst/Spadina) have grown even more dense since 2006

    Self-Driving Vehicles/Autonomous Vehicle Technology

Uber is trying something very similar to this, pseudo bus public transit lines with hop on hop off. In terms of automated bus public transit, it would be interesting to see buses grouped together into longer "trains" and maybe splitting off & combining dynamically based on demand, things like that.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

Spadina doesn't seem that bad from Bloor to King

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Eglinton is more complex in terms of building under & connecting to existing subways. From what I've heard it's one of the most difficult parts.

Why Toronto surpassed Vancouver/BC in Asian-Canadian population?

I don't know what authentic Thai is, but Pai is delicious

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

Yonge subway line 6km from Union to Davisville would still be very busy and waaay busier than Sheppard. A 6km subway downtown going east-west near King street would also be way busier.

Why Toronto surpassed Vancouver/BC in Asian-Canadian population?

Some major factors that affect where an immigrant moves to are: jobs, affordability, and where their family/friends are, also schools for their kids. Toronto has a huge amount of jobs from being the financial capital of Canada and many spin off jobs resulting from it, in addition to tech...
