I agree a fail! I do believe however this is meant to be more of a market place or a place to have little stalls etc when necessary.

I live nearby and have heard from neighbours that this lot has been bought by a developer for a 5 story apartment building. (Perry Ellis I’ve been told) in fact there was a neighbourhood event held on this spot last year by the developers. ( I was away). I was also hoping this was to be parkland.

I walked through here last weekend and was very disappointed with what I saw here and in other public parks on my walk. It seems that the biggest mistake is placing lawn in any highly pedestrianized, high density city park, (other than large parks) with a lot of dogs and/or poor maintenance...
