Once per day in each direction, late at night northbound and early morning southbound. When the LRT is operational, it will be restricted to between 1AM and 5AM as they share the southbound LRT track from Erb through Northfield.

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

Locks in Sault and Niagara are closed for the winter, not to mention the massive amount of ice in the way of reaching said locks. Ice was freely flowing down the St. Clair River near Sarnia this week, but there are likely some fun jams upstream.

There is a co-fare of $.50 on GRT for those transferring from/to GO. Just show your Presto/ticket.

Waterloo Region Transit Developments (ION LRT, new terminal, GRT buses)

Waterloo Region required the fare card to go to tender, and Metrolinx/Presto doesn't respond to tenders.

Waterloo Region Transit Developments (ION LRT, new terminal, GRT buses)

I read that the event was postponed by a day. The article is no longer available, suggesting the Whig may have jumped the gun on whatever it was they were reporting.

Metrolinx: Bombardier Flexity Freedom & Alstom Citadis Spirit LRVs

Current rumbling in KW is that Bombardier is delaying delivery to use the vehicle as a showpiece for this event. Not sure how substantiated, but it's somewhat ridiculous if true.

    King Street (Streetcar Transit Priority)

Speed cameras are prevalent throughout the UK with signage reminding you that there are cameras in use, although I saw a stat recently that only 52% of them are active.

TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

There always is the potential that Bombardier is still surprised that they could actually produce LRVs for Ion so fast that they haven't gotten over the shock yet... Once they snap out of it, they'll come flying out the doors.

Waterloo Region Transit Developments (ION LRT, new terminal, GRT buses)

502 is in the Lancaster yard in Kitchener.

    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

The old NB-EB on-ramp was a bit deceiving because although it started out like a regular on-ramp, it did a very, somewhat unexpected, sharp turn. They've moved this turn into part of the roundabout, which, by it's nature, forces people to slow naturally.

Waterloo Region Transit Developments (ION LRT, new terminal, GRT buses)

Unlike Hillcrest, the ramp for unloading is mobile. They can move it further down the line and tow 502 to the shop.

    Toronto Pearson International Airport

Side note: I was working for 411 at the time of the crash and remember fielding a bunch of calls requesting obscure airlines in smaller airports, eg Finnair in London, ON. Took us a while to figure out what was going on.

GO Transit: Service thread (including extensions)

Still open, AFAIK. No issues with the LRT - they built the King Street Grade separation without impacting access to the yard.
