    Mississauga Exchange District Condos | 232m | 72s | Camrost-Felcorp | Arcadis

Developers I know are extremely frustrated with Planning, and consider it actively hostile to development. According to hearsay, several have essentially decamped to the 905 permanently. They are finding city staff there much more friendly and open to discussion on new buildings, height and density.

Very ambitious from Camrost Felcorp but their work so far does not leave me with some concern. Hopefully no value engineering for this marquee project.

This still isn't done? Good lord. Wasn't this approved 7 or 8 years ago?

Excellent. This is a short walk to my house. The shopping options keep multiplying in Leaside. Unfortunately, so does the price of groceries.

    Toronto The Jack Condos | 39.01m | 11s | Aspen Ridge | BDP Quadrangle

I drive by this a couple of times a week and it is a pleasant surprise. This was ripe for value engineering and it is nice to see they didn't go that route. Not groundbreaking but a well-executed piece of work so far.

Shoppers is the new Starbucks. Since Loblaws acquired them they're spreading like a virus. They now occupy some great real estate that would be perfect for restos and other public spaces.

    Toronto Y&S Condos | 130.77m | 38s | Tribute | Graziani + Corazza

Does the developer have to maintain the office space that is being demolished here?

    Toronto The Well | 174.03m | 46s | RioCan | Hariri Pontarini

The amount of steel, concrete, glass etc. that will pour into this site over the next 4-5 years is staggering. It would be interesting to do the math of roughly how many jobs this site supports directly and indirectly.

    Toronto CIBC SQUARE | 241.39m | 50s | Hines | WilkinsonEyre

I know someone who works on the site, and the pressure to push ahead is unrelenting. He's basically paying off his mortgage with the overtime he's accumulating. It definitely is the best project he's ever worked on, but they are really putting the screws to the workers.

    Toronto 1414 Bayview | 30.85m | 8s | Gairloch | a—A

Interesting. I had no idea this stretch was up for re-development. I can already hear the locals grumbling. The upper floor balconies will have great views into people's backyards. That was a major complaint at the Laird/Millwood re-development.

Are they putting a crane on top of the core, at some point? Or will the one that is anchored to the core be able to rise indefinitely next to the core?

    Toronto The One | 328.4m | 91s | Mizrahi Developments | Foster + Partners

Wow! That's the fanciest looking crane I've ever seen.

    Vaughan CG Tower | 188.97m | 60s | Cortel Group | BDP Quadrangle

Nice. Not many cities with 300,000 people can boast of 61-storey towers with decent architecture.

Interesting. My wife and I were just talking about her biggest pet peeve while driving, which is private construction intruding into public space with sidewalk and lane closures. Looks like with some planning this can be avoided, but I'm sure it's easier to apply and get a permit. Glad to see...

Oy vey! The clock usually has a 4-handle on it when I get out of bed :(

That was my immediate reaction, as well! I drive over that bridge about once a week and had no idea in what terrible condition it is.

    Toronto CIBC SQUARE | 241.39m | 50s | Hines | WilkinsonEyre

Based on their project in Yorkville and Blue Diamond, Camrost-Felcorp seems to be a particularly slow moving developer, so may not be the best comparison.

    Toronto Crosstown LRT: Eglinton Station | ?m | 1s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

I wondered about that myself, as well. They can't possibly keep Eglinton single lane in both direction here. Can they?

Just out of curiosity, how much would one of those gigantic steel cylinders cost?

Looks like soil testing has begun. I've seen the machine at various corners of the site this week.
