Agreed, poor facilities, but great staff and treatment.

6 Bond is inpatient, perhaps others? In other news, the pre-admission facility will re-open on May 10 on 10 Donnelly. Lots of pics here on St. Mike's Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1146834282014805.1073741875.116986731666237&type=3 I believe the accessible ramp for...

    Downtown Yonge

Agreed on both points. Wong-Tam is one of the best councillors but I don't understand why clamping down at Y&D is a priority.

It does look like the exterior poster is going to be entombed. There's also major construction down to bare concrete in 6 and 7 Donnelly (formerly Queen). Not sure what is being done. The additional third elevator in the queen street lobby looks done but is still roped off. The Tim Hortons on...

    Original Vitrolite station tiles

They seem to have underestimated what needed to be covered up. A lot of the new ad frames have an inch or half inch gap on the left and right, exposing tiles underneath or 2x4 wood. Sometimes there's just black gunk from under the old frame. All in all, it looks like a poor installation job. I...

    North Of Brooklyn Pizza

There are so few bulbs left working in their Church street sign that I am concerned they are planning to close. The bulbs would be so easy to change in that sign given its position so it's odd that they're letting it deteriorate. I love their pizza and I respect limiting menu choices, but they...

    Church-Wellesley Village

It was never particularly crowded and they had far more space than they needed. Not too surprising. A real sit-down pizza place would be nice.

    Toronto 475 Yonge Street | 255.76m | 78s | KingSett Capital | BDP Quadrangle

No, there should be strict zoning laws. There should be enforced rules on setbacks. There should be enforced rules on height for every block. There should be enforced rules on density. Etc. If I wanted to build a 40 storey building, all I need to do is propose a 50 storey building with a bad...

    Toronto 475 Yonge Street | 255.76m | 78s | KingSett Capital | BDP Quadrangle

So the 52 storey tower on the north side of the street will have no setback from Alexander and this 65 storey tower on the south side of the street will have no setback from Alexander. Why is this is a good idea? Why should a tiny side street like Alexander be a canyon? Setbacks should be...

    Toronto Eaton Centre (Ongoing Renewal) | ?m | ?s | Cadillac Fairview | Zeidler

Was that ever a real window into Eatons back when the mall first opened or has it always been ad space?

The marketeria on the 6th floor is getting a Tim Hortons where the Second Cup,used to be years ago, along with a gift shop.

Many? It's going from 13 down to 5 max, and the developer confirmed that those 5 could be combined depending of the market. I predict 3 retail units. Coffee shop, bank, dry cleaners. Yawn.

I love terrazzo and hope it's making a comeback.

    Church-Wellesley Village

We would lose parking on one side of the street. The BIA would be opposed. It would be great because the sidewalks are definitely too narrow. Wider sidewalks would help the village's vibrancy enormously in my opinion.

    Original Vitrolite station tiles

Here's a pic from January 15 before the tile cover up was completed. What did they do with the Vitrolite at the top? It's now black. Is that metal panel?mi can't tell from the completed photo.

Just outside the Village - the Magic Oven at 6 Wellesley West that closed recently is now Coconut Bay, a Thai restaurant. I can't find their website though.

    Toronto Eighty One Wellesley | 97.53m | 28s | Aragon Properties | Core Architects

It's sad that we lost the heritage building but at least this has a brick podium, it's not an obnoxious height for the neighborhood, and it might have have retail with a tiny patio. Compared to 501 Yonge, this is okay.

    Church-Wellesley Village

I hope North of Brooklyn on Church is doing okay. I'm worried based on the number of lightbulbs burned out in their sign.

It looks like the Timothy's space in the Alexus has been leased because the for lease sign is gone. Anybody know what's coming? Also the glass awning from the old 7-24 Video has come down in the new RBC space.
