    Toronto Eglinton Line 5 Crosstown West Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

No knockout panels are needed at Jane station since it is above-ground. There is no soil behind the panels, just air. Unless they decided to build the entire wall with concrete, instead of glass and columns.

The proposal would only allow for 10 train tracks under Bathurst, but there will eventually be 12 tracks (4 from Lakeshore, 8 from Milton, Kitchener and Barrie) west of Strachan Ave. To me, it seems like the Barrie Line would have to be single-tracked through Bathurst Street. What if Metrolinx...

York Region Transit: Viva service thread

YRT Service changes effective Sunday, June 28 Service increase back to normal or near-normal for most major routes in Vaughan, but run time also returns to normal with significantly longer run time during "rush hour". More local routes will convert to Mobility on request.

    Richmond Hill Yonge Line 1 North Subway Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

I don't see anywhere in my statement that "low frequency has low ridership". 4.89k is a very high ridership considering that there are only 5 trains per day on Richmond Hill Go Line. Facts ≠ Argument

The double fare issues exist for any trip near the municipal boundary of Toronto. The problem is not whether YRT should have a Steele's route, but whether there should be fare integration. It will be cheaper for YRT to pay TTC for anyone travelling on Steeles with only a YRT fare, than actually...

How about stacking two tracks at different levels like the Expo line in Downtown Vancouver?

    miWay Transit

I think both miway, TTC, YRT, DRT and brampton transit should just make 1 weekly/monthly pass and one fare structure for all transit systems. If they don’t want Toronto regional transit, this could be the next best substitute. Please wait for 10 more years.

    Richmond Hill Yonge Line 1 North Subway Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

The subway is more direct for any destinations outside Union, north of Dundas, and it's cheaper to take the subway. 4.89k take the Richmond Hill GO Line at or north of Langstaff.

    Richmond Hill Yonge Line 1 North Subway Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

    That's only during COVID, normally there are YRT 2, 5, 23, 88, 77, 91/91A, 99/98E, 300, 301, 302, 303, 304, 760, Blue/BlueA, Pink, and TTC 42, 53/953, 60/960, 97F, 125. (x) = buses per hour pre-COVID VIVA Blue/BlueA (12) + VIVA Pink (5) + TTC 953 (9) + TTC 960 (7) = 33 buses per hour, already...

Don't really know. It's so difficult to request a site plan from the City of Markham. In Toronto, you just need to go to development applications. The western connection will definitely be built, just don't know when. Also, Metrolinx is considering adding a fourth track and platform at...

    miWay Transit

I would not want to wait 30 mins for YRT when there is a TTC bus every 5 mins on Steeles. The only bus route in Markham that is a frequent route outside rush hour is VIVA Purple. A majority of the transfer connections are either too short or too long, leaving riders standing at the bus stop for...

    miWay Transit

One 40 mins transfer is enough to turn away a potential transit rider. You cannot control all the buses from all four directions to arrive at the intersection at the same time so some rider will always miss the bus by a few mins, which means they will not even want to make that trip. On...

    miWay Transit

There are different reasons why the bus is full. Miway route 39 travel mostly through employment areas in the east and workers have predictable travel patterns so they can time their work with the bus schedule. Also, the demography of a city affects its frequency vs coverage problem. It all...

    miWay Transit

I am from York Region. Frequencies are needed to minimize transfer time. No one wants to miss the second bus, because the first bus is late, and wait for 40 mins at the bus stop. Also, I have no problem with the lack of YRT Steele's service, I will only want to take YRT on Steeles if my trip...

Always support whatever the current government proposed in the hope that they will start way into construction before the other party forms the government.

Trains every 15-20 mins + detour to the east will not persuade people to not take the Yonge line.
