    Toronto 16 York | 154.83m | 32s | Cadillac Fairview | a—A

Do you think they might start construction and try to get the extra square footage while under construction? There have been a few towers that were granted increases while under construction. It would save them time.

    Toronto 16 York | 154.83m | 32s | Cadillac Fairview | a—A

Is it possible that there was just a miscommunication about the square footage somewhere and that the zoning is actually in place for what they intend to build? Also, is it possible that they have started the process to get their SPA but it just isn't issued yet?

    Toronto Richmond Adelaide Centre: 120 & 130 Adelaide West Recladding | 136.85m | 35s | Oxford Properties | WZMH

Will they spend the money to give these buildings a nice re-cladding, or is the Simpson tower 2.0?

John Street Roundhouse: Toronto Railway Heritage Centre, Steam Whistle, The Rec Room

I agree that this model has worked in the States, but Cineplex clearly doesn't know what they're doing. Their Edmonton location is not a professional operation. There is a chain called Dave and Busters that's popular in America and has a location in Vaughan, but they also have bad reviews across...

This article talks about the inspiration behind the colours and materials used. https://www.thestar.com/news/gta/2017/03/08/nobu-plans-luxury-condo-complex-in-downtown-toronto.html

    Toronto Downtown Data Centre | 38.5m | 4s | Equinix Inc | WZMH

How do these buildings work? Are there tenants who have leases on servers? Do they pre-lease before building?

    Holt Renfrew (includes hr2)

Quite the opposite. The hr2 locations were profitable. Holt Renfrew is in the midst of improving its main stores and closing its smaller stores. It's a calculated move to focus on quality.

John Street Roundhouse: Toronto Railway Heritage Centre, Steam Whistle, The Rec Room

blogTO is reporting the Rec Room will open this summer. Based on the reviews of the Edmonton location, I don't think it will be open long. They scan your ID just to get in and keep your info on file in case of an "incident." The service is bad, the food is inconsistent, and they make you wait...

Toronto St Regis Toronto Hotel and Residences | 281.93m | 58s | JFC Capital | Zeidler

This is bad news. It means we wont have a new owner to fix it up and keep the light feature active.

Yes. Allied hinted at an anchor tenant for the Well tower, and also said there was interest in their Front Street tower. I'm unaware of any specifics.

This is awesome! I've long said that this is the most lucrative proposal from a tenant's perspective, and it's also been at the top of my wish list. This will be great for the neighborhood.

    Toronto High Park Village | 113.95m | 35s | GWL | Arcadis

There's no need for more green space this close to High Park, and it's a bit dramatic to call this a fundamental transformation. This is the ideal place for more density. I hope the developers get what they asked for.

These NIMBYs don't stand a chance. This should be entertaining.

874 Bloor Street West (Old Stonehenge, 4s Studio JCI)

The COA is constrained by existing zoning. I suspect that if they apply for rezoning the Planning Department will be accepting of it.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

I'm surprised that people here aren't more concerned about this. It sounds like it could be detrimental to Queen Street. I understand that it has to happen, but this could devastate retail and restaurants all along Queen. Or am I overly concerned?

    Toronto Rogers Centre Renovations | ?m | ?s | Toronto Blue Jays | Populous

There's a lot of strange speculation and fantasy scenarios in this thread. Perhaps we should wait for actual information.

    Toronto One Thirty Eight | 144.05m | 31s | Cityzen | BBB

The OMB site lists this case as open. There is no further hearing scheduled. Have they been negotiating behind the scenes?

    Yorkdale Shopping Centre

Sounds like it could be the same concept as Rally on Ossington. A space that provides a venue to pop-ups.

    Toronto Concord Sky | 299m | 85s | Concord Adex | Kohn Pedersen Fox

I suspect that 344m is just their starting bid in order to negotiate something lower and closer to what they want.

    Toronto 2 Queen West | 34.44m | 7s | Cadillac Fairview | Zeidler

I'm going to see if I can find it. I really need to start bookmarking things. *Edit. I was wrong. A quick look and I found that Simons did try to move downtown and was interested in the Eaton Centre. When it didn't pan out, they said in the Star that they have no plans for downtown. I suspect...
