    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

The city would probably object to something in the Port Lands considering the massive redevelopment planned for the area.

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

I believe the yard proposed for the Yonge Extension was a simple set of 3 tail tracks for storage of 6 trains. I believe this is similar if not the same proposal made for the SSE north of Sheppard. The yards in this case are simple storage yards for overnight storage of trains and very basic...

Sheppard Line 4 Subway Extension (Proposed)

I can also see the EELRT jumping up the priority list if the Cons loose. As it stands now the EELRT is a city project but I can see the Liberals and/or NDP throwing there support behind it.

If this is official they really need to plant some trees to cover up those sound barriers. Other than that I think it is fine, especially after they develop over those empty lots out front.

"Invisibility is a feature, especially when transit priority can be controversial." This really just sums it all up doesn't it.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

I received my copy of the TTC 100 Anniversary Book. It also had this interesting map in it near the end. I thought you guys might enjoy.

    Transit Fantasy Maps

Wonder if it would be possible to use the old railway corridor that runs through that area. I believe it travels south all the way to Fort Erie. Maybe one day it could be use as an inter-urban "tram-train" service from Niagara GO Station to Fort Erie.

    Toronto Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

Made a new video, this one looking at the history of the DRL. The Ontario Line isn't discussed in this video as it will get one of its own in the future.

Fare integration alone won't help either. It will surely attract more riders but if we want to maximize ridership on the RER network then that means RER will have to be competitive with the Subway. One of the ways this will have to be achieved is through the time people wait for the train. I...

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

At this point no since it doesn't really need to be. As well I think the majority if not all riders use them as an identification that a bus/streetcar is coming since you can see those blue lights quite a ways away. While they may have been there originally to denote a bus being accessible at...

    Toronto Eglinton Line 5 Crosstown West Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

This was essentially the order of operations for Network 2011. The Sheppard Line was to be built first, followed by the DRL and then the Eglinton West line last. Now the Eglinton West Subway was a horrible idea and were lucky it wasn't built but thats another story. Now we can argue if the...

Ontario Line North of Eglinton (was Relief Line North) (Speculation)

You're probably right, it is the WWLRT. I somehow forgot that exists. Random fact to depress you: The idea for a Waterfront West LRT was first proposed in 1992 as an extension of the 509 Harbourfront (then known as the 604 Harbourfront) along Lake shore Blvd. to Humber Loop. It was meant to...

Ontario Line North of Eglinton (was Relief Line North) (Speculation)

I tried to disseminate whats on that map. There are other ones not marked on the map. It also looks like this map has some sort of "North Toronto" line that would realistically utilize the Highway 407 corridor. It is possible to run a GO Line from Oshawa to Hamilton via the CN/Highway 407...

This makes me irrationally angry; the fact it is even a suggestion.

They have to get the Dundas Streetcar out of Broadview to free up space for the possible Broadview Streetcar into the port lands.

    Eglinton East LRT | Metrolinx

I doubt will see the Cons willingly fund this project. It's an LRT that runs down the middle of the road in Scarborough so that alone throws up a lot of red flags. As well the Cons are already talking about spending a lot of money on transit as it is, I doubt they are willing to pony up any...

    Toronto Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Just a nitpick but I think those name plates would be better if they were orange; it would really liven up the place. I don't really get what Metrolinx has against colour.
